hi there i am attempting to make something similar. but without the 3.5 jack. i am trying to have it contained so it gets the audio from the 30pin ipod adapter. but the only problem i am having is powering the speakers, its too complicated to extract the power from the usb...for 1 its only 5v not 12v, and there is 30 cores.lol how have you done it?
The computer speakers I used had a 12 volt external power supply so it was a easy hook up. These type of speakers are cheap and easy to come by. I would not mess with usb powered speakers if it were me. I used the 3.5 jack because it plugged directly into the speakers amp.
Thats cool u sould have mad the box smaller though

@iTouchGuy6940 really was not too hard to make. Still works great and we use it all the time in the kitchen.
