Elvis was nothing special, The reason he became big was because business men knew that Elvis would become popular because he sounded like a black person, Black people made rock n' roll but at that time white people didn't listen to it because they hated black people, Also Elvis presley couldn't even play guitar worth shit, THE REASON HE BECAME BIG WAS BECAUSE HE SOUNDED BLACK! He can sing but he . He also did a cover of a song that a black person made which he became famous with.

Actually Elvis was a pretty decent guitar player. If you watch the the 68 comeback sit down segments of the show thats Elvis playing the electric guitar through almost the whole show. And in 69 he showcased his playing during every show till 1970. He played on songs such as Runaway, C C Rider ( before it became the opener ), Little Sister/Get Back, along with his 50's hits, In The Ghetto, just to name a few. Even Chet Atkins has said he was pretty good picker. And his vocals are unmatched.

Naa, I'd say Elvis had a bit more than just being a white guy singing black music at the time. Sure that was drastically different back then. But that isn't what shot Elvis to the top alone. To say it was only because he sung a black song and he sounded black would be nieve.
