  • edit fffuuuu i created a sphere with radius 8192 ( i wanted a total of 8192, not the radius :D ) and i created extrapoliation. 8 fffuuu :D

  • hey guys, ive got a freaky problem:

    i tried to make my own textures (i took them from warrock, marien textures) and put them all together into a texture pack (.utx). Now i tried to play the map with these textures and boom: "Could not find package for map" or something like this and then 'MapMarien.utx'

  • how do i delete any object i created?

    and.. how do i finish one? I mean, what is if i wanted to create a new cube, its just editing the old one. pressing enter wont work (or something like this).

    and with deleting, i mean, that if i created a cube and choosed a texture, how do i remove it? as example when there are 3 cubes, i wanted to delete the first one, i created. this wont work, even not with rightclick->delete (in any layer, t f and s, or the 3d preview)

  • @lethalvortex allready tried... the problem is that the "control field" of the surface properties and other thigns too are slipped ... i dont see the full "control field" and i dont know how to fix that... =/

  • I can´t import my textures, i´m doing all are you saying, and when I push the load button, I create package myLevel, group myTextures, name Foto1, push OK, and nothing happens!

    Please Help!!!

  • If i want to save my map an error appears : Couldn't save package - maybe file is read-only?

  • @xXbreakfastXx do you have Mabe killingfloor open since it cant write if u have program open that uses it files. so close down kf try save again. if that doesnt work go to your killingfloor folder and right mouse the folder see if it doesnt have the setting read only. hope it helps you out!

  • @lethalvortex yeah i fixed it ^^ i tihnk the problem was that i made a own package at first =D i deleted it and then it worked ^^

  • @gamemann223 thats coz u used wrong size of textures. so dont say its wrong u dit something wrong there is a differents

  • @CommanderDenton just name it other package for texture and thats it. but if your gone only 1 map its easyer to just save it into mylevel unless ur planning to make more maps useing the same package then seperate is a way to go.

  • Whenever I save as pcx and attempt to import the textures, they dont show up as myLevel, they dont show up at all in fact, I tried 512x512 and lower, didnt work. Help?

  • by "cubemap" do you mean a map that is just a cube?

    cause i thought a cubemap was used by models to simulate specularity that matched its surroundings.

    -sorry pointless post here, but nice video. I can see it'll be helpful to others who are new to this thing. Add some music using sound swap, i think it would make the video even better.

  • how the hell can I use my own pictures =/ I tried once going in opening and saving as .pcx.. didnt work

    I made some 612x612 in new,placed it inside - didnt work either.It created the data but when i tried to import it in the KF textures it didnt load my level it loaded nothing and the myLevel tab wasnt even avialable.. what to do? I wanna use this picture:

  • @alkabash66 i have answer this happens when you leave the texture window on full screen and close the sdk. to fix this you need to go to View>Viewports>Configure then press ok and that should fix your problem.

  • @alkabash66 go to tripwireforums look for level design submit your map for whitelisting then wait useally like few weeks. then if your lucky it will get whitelisted.

  • yes its a bug. its easy fix it happens wen you leave the texture on full size maximize then quick editor. to fix it you most go View > Viewport > Configuration > press ok should fix it still problem let me know.

  • I went into this tool and it worked fine at first but now when i load it up all the grids and stuff on the screen are gone. its just a white screen with the toolbars on the side. any suggestions on how to fix this problem

  • if you at more zombie spawns it will automatic choose one of the these spawns. so the more spawns the better the zombies spawn. just check london for example it got alot spawns. also wen a players looks at the spawn zone it wont spawn any zombie. so make sure u also make some spawns were players cant look at them. im my other tutorials i go in detail on spawns with pathnodes!

  • you must make sure you use size like 64x64 128x128 256x256 512x512 save it as tga or pcx then there should be no problem.

  • How do you move freely like you do because I can only go forward and back, I struggle to turn around and I can't look up or down at all

  • Left mouse = Forward/Back

    Right mouse = Tilt angle of view

    Left + right mouse = vertical movement

  • save them as name_A00.pcx next one name_A01.pcx next one name_A02.pcx with the "_A00" then continue to the amount of animation u need upload them right mouse the first texture to change the speed of the texture animation.

  • dit you name your map KF-yourmap name if u dint include "KF-" it wont show up!

  • dit u save as KF-yourmap name? otherwise search your pc for your map name then copy it to your steam>steamapps>common>killing­floor>maps but it should be auto in there but just incase its not.

    how can i find my own map in game.... there are only the 6 main maps :(

  • you can run game normal & find your map then test it. or you could delete killingfloor.ini then try again at least thats what i heard. remeber to back the ini incase it doesnt work

  • you should try move it a bit upwards like 1 or 2 grids see if the same problem presist. also you should add path nodes since unreal editor also see the items weapons as path nodes. mabe its trying to make a path but cant find any other. pathnodes. also check your grid i useally set it to 1 since i find it nice to work with small grid`s but most people say you should use 16 or 12. but thats up to you

  • I have come across a problem. I put a ramdom item or ammo box in the map but when I try and build it, it says KFRandomAmmoSpawn2 : xPickupBase is floating. I have not moved it at all. I can move it halfway through the floor and it doesnt come up with the error message but then the map wont play in single (my play level doesnt work)

  • ok dont warry i started again and it still comes up with the error but i can play it in single player.

  • Gimp its a freeware photo edit program. but you can also use photoshop. but gimp works good enough.

  • like leo said actor pickup>kfpickups if i remeber correct then u can choose alot. but its more usefull to use xpickupbase since it will random choose ammo and weapons. so it will play out diffrent everytime!

  • go to that actors tab(close to textures tab) and go to pickup, click on the + and click on ammo, kfammo.

    right click on map and add KFAmmo

    something like that, explore it a bit

  • well you need a wall with animation on it. just name ur texture mytexture_a00.pcx then the next mytexture_a01.pcx u need to make it alpha transparent. easy way is to just copy it from other map that has it.

  • ye u can make walls that only block zombies you can even make a wall that only blocks like crawlers. just look for zombiezonevolume. then in the options u can change it. by default it blocks the player only but u can add or delete it.

  • Sorry for all of these questions but I'm making a perk leveling map and i want to figure out one thing. Is there a way you can place a one-sided wall that only affects zombies but no affect on players? If there is how do you do it?

  • add a zoneinfo to your map. there properties zonelight> there u got all the fogoptions play with it to see the diffrents

  • ye u can change the time of a box just look for actor>pickup>ammo>kfammopickup right mouse anywere on the floor right mouse the ammo on the floor. go to properties. find pickup then change respawn time to the amount of time you want. also note it wont spawn if you look at it only wen there is no player in sight.

  • Would it matter if i chose a decimal of 0.0001 or something like that for the spawn time? Because I set the spawn time of the ammo to that but, when i left the room and made sure i couldn't see the ammo, it never spawned. Even when I went to the opposite side of the map.

  • Here is my last question. When you are done making your map, how do you use a custom screen shot for it when you are selecting a map in the menu?
