This footage is in fact from the legendary Yankee Stadium Zoo TV performance in 1992. U2 is the only band to have ever played a rock concert there. This is the TV special that was broadcase sometime that year.

Might I add that U2 was pissed when half of there TV special was mistakenly recorded in mono. However, it could explain why POP stage speakers were set up was that way. Anyway, love this and thank you for this post!

I have this on tape. Loved this so much! Too bad the beginning part is in "mono," that is why it is poor quality. It turns to stereo right before Bullet the Blue Sky. Amazing. Still have it on a very old VHS tape!

I got to see ZOO TV in 1992 at Busch Stadium in St Louis. I was close to the stage and remember there was so much going on at once that it totally blew my mind! I had a hard time getting back to reality when it was all over. No one else will EVER pull off a show like this! U2 are the BEST..........................­...

Thanks beeze.....I love this show...saw the next version in melbourne in '94 (Zoomerang)....that first 5 minutes!!!!!, with Television Drug of a Nation, then the montage of Leni Reifenstahl,and foetal ultrasound etc... The Fly : ) The guitar in Bullet :) and uring Until, I was sure the whole complex was going to lift off and fly into space..... I was mesmerised and I havent seen anything as powerful since.....

Actually, this was broadcast November 92. Outside Broadcast had only just started in summer 92 (Hershey PA rehearsals early August). They compiled this special in L.A. on the break between the end of the U.S. shows and the 4 Mexico shows.

Still - spectacular. I'm holding to hope they will include it in some form in the Acthung Baby remaster (a la the Joshua Tree treatment they did in 2007) - maybe this year even? One can hope!
