That would be negligence, not an accident. Only you know your limitations. Shooting one of those would not be a good idea, and could do damage to the weapon. However, it works very well.

A few drawbacks. It sticks way out so you can't practice drawing the weapon.
You can accidently load a live round. Dangerous.
