I loved Bishop O.T. Jones, Jr. This is what you call preaching. He told the truth and unfortunately it cost him his seat on the General Board. But I think that after Bishop J.O. Patterson and L.H. Ford, he was certainly the best of the modern day....And he didn't need 2 hours to do it nor did he have to climb pews and through handkerchiefs..I love and miss you Bishop Jones...and Yes Bishop Phillip Brooks went crazy...he too is another who stood up for what was right and was demoted.
But remember the situation with between Bishop Owens and Elder Derrick Hutchins and how Bishop Owens tried to move him from one church to another in South Carolina; Bishop Blake, Bishop Jones (2nd Asst), and Bishop Brooks (then Sec. of the General Board) all sided with elder Hutchins in a judiciary hearing. Bishop Owens was furious and demoted Bishop Brooks and Jones; this is what sparked Bishop Patterson to run in 1996 when he lost by 1 vote. But in 200o, he set the captives free. I like Owens.
