This is good, but '88 played it with way more soul. Those dudes were really into it. Rockin' side to side, swayin' - the whole nine. No disrespect to '07 because this is good - but '88 took 'em to church with this song.
My only problem with the new one is they took the lil break down toward the end out. But this ain't the 80's. Bands have to play songs shorter these days. You don't have 3 or 4 min to get a song in if you really wanna play it and play it out except for TOs
What the heck have they done to this song? I grew up on Old School Boom (mid 80's - early 90's) and this sounds worse than the original. The notes are choppy and others are left out all together. Did the directors think of this as an improvement? I've also noticed how they have altered some of the other oldies. The overall sound just don't have that flavor you expect from when hearing The Boom.
