What always strikes me is the progression from the flatter, one dimensional human likenesses to the third dimensional realism of the later Renaissance. The lighting at 1:14 is exceptional. The Christmas Oratorio is one I've been looking forward to hearing; thanks for putting a portion of it here with these marvelous images.
