@jruler93 - I don't believe that it will kill everything with one shot. However, I believe almost all non-boss enemies are insta-killed by it.

As far as bosses, I don't remember which ones can be killed in one shot, and which ones take more. That's what the video is for :)

If you'd like to find out yourself, I highly recommended that you try it if you've got the time and know-how to use the cheat.

@jruler93 Hyper beam does 200 damage. To put that in perspective, a charged Ice/Wave/Plasma beam does 180 damage, and the normal creature with the most HP is Holtz with 180. Bosses: Ridley I - 400, Torizo - 160, Spore Spawn - 200, Kraid - 200, Phantoon - 300, Botwoon - 600, Draygon - 1200, Golden Torizo - 2700, Ridley II - 4800, Mother Brain - 600/3600/7200.

@jruler93 Botwoon is the worm you face in Maridia. Crocomire technically has infinite HP, however if you hit him with something strong enough he will back up all the way into the lava.

You can get the Hyper Beam early without cheating. Just use S.M.I.L.E. and edit all of Torian's doors to be openable.

@ats3117 Wait, I think I fogot to subscribe. Did I subscribe? I think I'll add you to my friends list. Also, if you want, you can try the stand up glitch. Basically, if you have at least seven energy tanks and you turn off the Varia and Gravity Suits, you can stand up during the scene where the Metroid joins, allowing you to do extra damage and save time. Combine it with the Murder Beam, and it can be a real time saver while fighting Mother Brain. And don't forget the "Through Zebetites" glitch.

5-10 million * 9 metroid games = 45-90 million useless "fun" videos of people randomly playing

@sonic4132 - Well, I use ZSNES, so when I pause the game I'm running (by hitting escape), I click on the "CHEAT" menu-button at the top of the screen and then I hit "ADD CODE". From there, you enter the code in the "ENTER CODE" box , and come up with a name to remember that code in the lower "DESCRIPTION" box. Then hit "ADD".

From that same menu, you can activate/de-activate any cheat you want by double clicking on it, or hitting "TOGGLE".

@sonic4132 - You need to put it in a Game Genie. My emulator (ZSNES) has one under the "Cheat" tab when you hit escape. I don't know how other emulators work, I'd google it or something. Good luck!

What cheats do you have enabled? Are you using an emulator like ZSNES? If you are using the actual console, I can't help you with that.

If you're using ZSNES or another Emulator, make sure that the Master Codes are on too, I don't remember what happens if they're not on, but it could bring up that screen.

Master Code 1: FA68-4760

Master Code 2: DD6A-C7DF

Please note that codes that require the master code only work with save slot A.

I use ZSNES, a SNES Emulator. I can find you a link if you want, or Google can help you find it.

What you do is load the rom up, then go to Cheat, then hit "Add Code". Enter the actual code in the top box and a description in the lower box. Then hit the "Add" button and it will be added to your list of cheats. You can disable them by double clicking on the cheats in the big box on that screen. Hope that helps, let me know if it doesn't.

I'm not familiar with Macs, but I did manage to find an emulator that should do the trick. Look up Snes9x. It apparently runs on mac, and is one the best emulators out there. Try a Google search for it and it should all work out.

Sorry, I guess it didn't like my post that I wrote here a few days ago or whenever that was.

The code is 62C5-14A6.

Remember, you have to see your inventory (The "Samus" screen) before you can use it. Otherwise it's treated as if it's off.

Now if you were to go through the whole game like I did, you'd need to turn it off now and then. (for when you have to have the Ice Beam)

Do this:

1. Save somewhere

2. Disable the code

3. Reset

4. Reload, then re-activate when ready.
