i really hope those christmas tree survive till the 25th LOL
can i know the snow leopard name? :) i love them so much, they are gorgeous and i cant belive how there are people in the world that can actually kill them...
This video's a couple of years old, the snow leopard is HERCULES, one of my favs! Happy holidays, we have a new christmas video this year if you want to check it out!
I love the smell of a real Christmas tree in the house . You can tell those animals were happy to see those trees. You certainly made their Christmas. Thank you for sharing with us. 5*****s to you . You made my day.
Beautiful creatures, it is discouraging to realize that we "humans" cannot give these animals the room they need in this world to be free to be themselves
anyone who does not know that animals are angels...check out the eyea of these amazing cats. precious...please...report allll animal abuse...it is your duty.
exactly...i dont know what kind of sick person could abuse animals...if i accidently walk in to my dog i like take her for a walk and give her a trat and pet her untill she walks away...
OH!!! That was sooo cool for you to share this vid with the rest of us! I loved knowing the BigCats enjoyed it, and it was definitely a treat for them to have real trees. I figure it's the pine smell, that made them go gaw-gaw over them. lol They all had a reaction to them trees. Good job rescue crew! Merry Christmas to you and the Kit-tee's. lol
I love this video, thank you so much for posting it. It does remind me of my cats, even if they are so much smaller, and the object the rub themselves against is not a tree, but little old me ;)
I love these animals and would love to work with them. Too bad it will probably never happen.
How do these big cats know what this tree is? They live where these trees do not grow right? But!! it's so awesome to see the joy these huge cats get from the pine trees,, My hearts just melts,,, watching the joy and the acklowledgement the big cats have for the pines trees!! I would love to one day help care for big cats,, full time!!
This is so awesome watching all these big cats with the trees..they sure love these giant cat toys..I know they're wild animals, but all cats still are kittens at heart. I love them all, but the white tigers I think are so lovely. I love the way the lion comes
bounding out of the cage. They are just gorgeous! Thanks for this fabulous footage!
Cameron and Zabu were rescued from a roadside zoo in New England where they were kept together from when they were cubs in the hope of breeding a liger. So the two species wouldn't normally encounter each other in the wild but Cameron and Zabu get on well.
Thanks a lot! sorry if it have sound a little hard but here in Spain I'd known zoos who have done the same but deliberately! I think it's not good for these spp.
No problem, we had to think a lot before we rescued Cameron and Zabu as we didn't want to be seen as reinforcing this problem. But at least now every single person that comes on a tour of Big Cat Rescue learns the truth about what it takes to create white tigers and ligers, thanks for watching!
Largus1, yeah it does seem pretty strange but as you can see the cats love them and it's great enrichment to keep them stimulated whilst stuck in a cage. Plus the best part is that the trees were free and for an organisation like Big Cat Rescue, that makes it even better, thanks for watching and commenting!
Our house cat loves the Christmas tree, too. She's in a picture sitting under the tree among the gifts. She probably thought she's a gift to ANY household. : )
My friend's cat tore down the entire row of ornaments on the bottom of her tree. Then he tried to climb it. He's a rascal but so beautiful.
Those trees are like magnets for them! I can't believe how curious they are about them. It's so funny to watch them zoom right to them. I'd just be concerned about them eating the trees as in most cases they wouldn't encounter that species in the wild.
Chilidrew727, the cats so enjoyed these trees. I hope it becomes an annual event. Drop a note to the store's corporate office and let them know how much you enjoyed watching the cats with their trees and maybe they will donate trees again next year.
its good you guys are educating people about these cats because from this video... they all just look like big house cats that you want to go and play with! :) I'm glad they get a little Christmas joy in their lives too. The trees have always been my favorite. :)
None have tried to eat the trees. Most have snuggled them to put their scent on the trees and others pulled some branches off. Cats will eat grass sometimes and that is ok for their system. They seem to not want to eat the trees.
I am crying and smiling a big smile all at the same time! (maybe it's the music??)
Anyhow, this gets a big 5 stars and put in my favorites! This is just fabulous, that there are people who take such great care of these magnificent creatures!
THANK YOU for making this available as a favorite; it was because of you that I discovered this video. It is one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. P.S. The sand cat video: I've just recently learned about the existence of that species; for XMAS, my daughter gave me a book published by the British Museum on cats and there was information about that species.
COOL!! I had never heard of the Sand Cat either, and as soon as I saw that face, I was in love! What a cute little cat! Hope you have a Happy New Year!
The more I thought about this video, I think that the pine is like catnip to them. Look at them chewing on the boughs and rubbing their faces in them; that's the same thing my cat does with her catnip.
The trees that are still green (the ones placed in the shade) seem to still be interesting to the cats weeks after. So I would think they still have the smell as when they turn brown, they lose the smell they had.
It's just wonderful to see how these cats react to their special treat. Happy New Year to all of you! Keep up the wonderful work that you are doing! This really touches my heart.
AWE, My heart flutters!! THIS IS AWESOME!! Brian, Scott, Target and everyone who made this video possible, THANK YOU This is one I plan to post a link to on websites and send to all my friends. GREAT JOB BRIAN. See you guys soon. Hugs till then.
that's so cute how they play with the trees!!! it was very nice of Target to donate all those trees for the cats...it looks like they really enjoy them :D
Thanks BCR for all you do! I love those big kitty cats! It looks like the trees are catnip to them, them seem to get a charge out of it LOL Merry Christmas to the kitties and you all :o)
This is one Amazing video; I cannot find words to describe how I felt watching it. Thank you so much and may you and your team plus Our beautiful big cats; have a very Super Holiday. Over the last few months I feel like I know these wonderful animals. Thank you!
The lion Cameron shocked us all the most. We have never seen him show such an interest in a tree or enrichment item before. It put us all into the holiday spirit to see him snuggle up to his tree. He sleeps on it as well now.
Aw! They must love the minty-pine smell. Our little domestic kitties love our Christmas tree too although they aren't allowed to tear it up like the big cats do, lol.
This was the first time many of them had an x-mas tree. There was no cat nip or meat smell just the natural smell of the tree. They loved them and some are still snuggling up to their trees even days after.
Wow! Did you guys put catnip on those trees or something? I would never imagine they'd love a Christmas tree so much like that. Those big old kitties look adorable rubbing up to the trees like that. ^-^

Cats are such a curious animal, it seems everything is news to them. They are so happy and playful.
I found Zabu is the most smartest cat as she is the only cat who doesn't eat the tree. I assume she knows what's food and what is not.

Cats taste things to get the scent as well, not just for food.
