Personally, as a gymnastics fan, I will remember them, I'll remember Nastia as one of the most overscored and overated gymnast and Shawn as the favorite target of Nastia's fan :D

ANd I'll remember of the soviet and romanian as the most amazing gymnasts that has ever performed, for their grace, beauty and execution. I'll also remember Anna Pavlova as the most beautiful and amazing gymnasts I've ever seen

I doubt people will remember either Nastia or Shawn in 30 years because they achieve nothing in gymnastics. OK they are olympic gold medalists, but they were plenty before them. Nastia's forms are horrible and Shawn inflexibility is a real issue when it comes to split. Nastia's career is already over since she doesn't want to commit herself to gymnastics again and Shawn is still recovering. Due to american depth and upcoming talent, I doubt any of them make the 2012 team.

Romania has so many gymnastics legends, not only Comaneci, but also Silivas, Dovre, Raducan, Olaru, Ponor, Eremia, Amanar, Marinescu, a lot of names that if you know gymnastics, you DO remember. They were artistic and powerful at the same time,s ometimes you don't see very often. As people like to put people in boxes, u can say that Nastia is the artistic and Shawn the powerful. If you compare, Romanian gymnasts are better. Even though it's not what I think.
