@WarriorBoy It's not a fighter jet, it's a UAV. It's literally a remote control model plane, as light as possible for maximum maneuverability. It wouldn't have thick armour, and 5.56 ammo would tear into it pretty easily.

I for one think it's pretty cool they used a UAV for the scene, now that is technological progression.

The sideways flying thing doesn't physically work though, but still looks pretty cool.

Also, total body disruption and all that shit is one of those HIGHLY unlikely possible blast symptoms. Most likely blast injury is related to the blast wave actually, and sometimes the injury of hollow organs of the body eg. eardrums, lungs, bowels, etc.

A fighter airplane, that is doing a ground attack, travels with 300-500 knots. Even with a machinegun, the plane itself is VERY hard to hit, not to talk about hitting the pilot. I learned in the army, that AA burst are minimum 30-50 rounds, otherwise it´s useless. And a VERY GOOD gunner does never more than 3-7 hits per burst, mostly not even that. So tell me, how do you think you can hit the pilot???

The "plane" is an unmanned remote controlled drone, much smaller than an ordinary aircraft. The helicopter crew is controlling it with a joystick. When it hits the bridge, you can clearly see it's size.

Shooting down a real fighter with an assault rifle would certainly be next to impossible, but shooting down a small unmanned drone most likely wouldn't...

I know, thats what i meant. It was just an example, why it is useless to aim for the pilot. Not to talk about the stress when realizing that a fighter bomber is going to do an attack on YOU. No one aimes for the pilot in such a situation.
