The HK21 full auto version that shoots the .308 and is belt fed, is legal to own under this act but the HK UMP full auto version that shoots .45 auto and is magazine fed, is not legal to own under this act. belt fed .308 VS .45 auto which one is more dangerous to own? I agree that this is stupid, but i also think that people should stop complaining. If you are good with a hand gun, then honestly dude, just use that. use two if you are so worried. and are you really going to carry around a machine gun for protection? The Hugh's Amendment is unconstitutional. I would argue that a machine gun made in 1986 functions the same as a machine gun made in 2011. I would also argue that it's unlawful to infringe upon a person's right to forbid ownership of fully auto based upon a date of manufacture. It violates the 2nd Amendment completely. However you're going to pay up the rear end just to get it to the Supreme Court if it even makes it there. Regan shouldn't have signed it with that amendment in it.

actually the calguns foundation is getting some of the previous california court decisions restricting firearms in california reversed. Including people getting charged with illegal concealed carry on their own property(yeah... it's that bad here) and winning those court cases so some common sense gets through to the courts.
