I think he's good but over rated because Floyd Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, Kermit Cintron, Antonio Margarito, Carlos Quintana, Paul Williams and Joshua Clottey, round out the top eight fighters in boxings welterweight division. Mayweather also the only fighter among the top eight who hasn't faced one of the other seven who make up the elite eight. So it's kind of hard for me to say that he's a true great. But he is good.

Mayweather gave De La Hoya to much respect, if anything he could have beat him worse. Floyed doesnt when his fights off just speed and power. His intellegence is his biggest strength. The only fighter in boxing who is even half as smart as Floyed is Bernard Hopkins. Pacman, Oscar, Cotto, Gatti,and the rest of those guys u named are not as smart as Floyed. Bernard Hopkins is the only boxer who could possibly beat Floyed. Shane, and Zab are just as fast but not as smart. Floyed is able to adjust to any fighter....thats why hes undefeated!

And as far as the Hatton fight goes that was just a matter of gameplans, any time you see a first or second round ko among world class boxers it's just a case of one fighter coming in with the wrong gameplan or not executing his gameplan. Now I'm not saying I wasn't impressed by Pac's performance but I just think it' has no bearing as to whether Pac could beat Floyd. Go watch Pacquiao-Hatton 24/7. You see that thier whole plan is to catch Hatton coming in with the right hook and duck under his punch. Which ended up being the first knock down. And the knock out came from fainting the right and delivering a left. Like I said, all about gameplans. Freddie Roach noted that Hatton doesn't have the ability to adjust. Mayweather sr. tried to teach him head movement but Hatton wanted to muscle and over power Pac early and obviously that was a bad idea.

Well go back and watch that fight, Mayweather got robbed in the olympics.. You can even hear the announcers saying they thought he won the fight in his pro debut. Olympic boxing is a joke and it's no longer considered a farm for good pro's. And you seldomly see a long amauter career go undefeated because its all scoring and only a few rounds. If you have one night where the other kid slips in a few more punches for points you lose. It's nowhere near as big a deal as a pro loss.

I think he's good but over rated because Floyd Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, Kermit Cintron, Antonio Margarito, Carlos Quintana, Paul Williams and Joshua Clottey, round out the top eight fighters in boxings welterweight division. Mayweather also the only fighter among the top eight who hasn't faced one of the other seven who make up the elite eight. So it's kind of hard for me to say that he's a true great. But he is good.

Mayweather gave De La Hoya to much respect, if anything he could have beat him worse. Oscar was supposed to be the bigger man against Pac Man but ended up being smaller, from round one it was obvious that De La Hoya was weak and was gonna get dominated, not to metion De La Hoya was closer to his prime when he fought Floyd.

Alhough I dont like the guy much, he was pretty quick and smart in his answers. You can tell that he was getting frustrated with some of the questions, but he still answered with his (I guess temper), and answered it professionally. He was quick, smart and abrupt with his answers. Gotta give him credit for that.
