As far as I can tell...the PDP-4280XD has HOME GALLERY (Pioneer's 'Home Gallery' slideshow feature has been retained, with a memory card slot on the front of the multimedia box allowing you to view high resolution digital photos on the screen.)
As for the difference between the 5080XD and 508XD it may be the same difference as you see with the 5080D and 508D basically its a coloour filter (DCF 3 on the 5080 and DCF 3+ on the 508) this apparently creates better viewing (only very slightly) in Daylight or brighter environments.
The solution is to get a pro ISF calibration. Its not to expensive here in Denmark.. About 200£ i guess.. So im getting it as soon as my budget allows it;)

What's the difference between a PDP-4280XD and a PDP-428XD which one's worth getting? All I know is I'm definately getting a Kuro.

The one worth getting is PDP-428XD..
It has a better color-filter as DrGrafenberg is saying. Plus better options for proffesional calibration, which i can recommend ;)

Yep that's the one I bought. Only problem is I constantly check the details with the option since there's so many for a better picture.
