I tasted Bibimpap when I was in Korea, it is SO delicious, thanks for this video I will try to cook it myself. But I have a question, I can't find any Hot pepper paste where I live, and there is no korean grocery here, and I love when it's spicy so I was wondering if I can replace the hot pepper paste by something else, or is there any receipe to make hot pepper paste or something that tastes like paste?
oh also, can i make a suggestion? can u teach us how to make foods featured in the show Jewel in the Palace? "Dae Jang Geum"? please? thank you again!
Great presentation of food and guide on how to cook it! Korean food is the healthiest Asian food, because very little oil and fat is ever used in the cooking process. I lived in South Korea for 18 months, and I miss the traditional fashion of Korean cooking. In Australia the only real chefs at restaurants are International students, they simply can not cook like Halmoni. I know my food well, mainly Italian food because I worked in may restaurants in Australia. Kamsahamneeda.
@virgo321 the "cold" version is the one in the video. the hot one has a hot stone bowl. it just depends on how you like you bibimbap. Both ways are delicious! But i prefer mine with the hot stone bowl.

Can you scramble the egg instead of poaching/frying it? I love eggs but don't like them poached or fried.
9HereticPrincess9 1 month ago
@9HereticPrincess9
Honestly it doesn't matter what you do with the egg. Poaced or Fried it's really all the same. You just want it in there for the color and flavor.
Raw, Fried, Poached, Hard boiled, Steamed? However you choose.
KonoeH 1 month ago
@KonoeH Most commonly, the egg is simply sunny-side up. Hard-boiled egg? Nah, that is more for mul naengmyun.
