The bulk of the voting public are ignorant coin tossers which is exactly what is wanted by those in power. If you can get the ignorant general public out to the polls they will effectively squash the minority of voters that are actually informed and know what is going on. This campaign in combination with a false two party (divide and conquer) system ensures that there is never any real change from what the financial oligarchy wants.
