A true sleeper is all about deceit and disguise, and making smug sports car owners look foolish. They look and sound anything but fast. Some look too cushy and comfortable, others may look like something bound for the scrap yard. In actuality they usually don't run 9's, but do perform very well compared to factory "sport/performance" cars owned by smug enthusiasts who really know little about cars but think their baby can beat anything on the road.

yea....first of all...any "muscle" car or "sports" cxar is NOT a sleeper. A sleeper is a corolla with 400 hp or civic with 600 hp. and a sleeper does not have any body modifications, or anything to indicate it is modded...no loud exhaust.. Giant hood scoop.......etc... It does not have any indications that it is fast.. But is way faster than you would expect for that car...

Ok people, cmo'n now. I have only been 2 the track once in my life when I was a little boy and common sense tells you that the parachute is for the track only. Lol. Have you EVER seen any1 driving on a public road with a parachute hanging from the back? Therefore when you are mentioning that it is not a sleeper please leave out the whole thing about the parachute. Use that little thing between your ears:)

I think this car is a sleeper. I would never have guessed that mustang to be making 1400 plus horsepower...It sounds like a 10 or 11 second car like someone else said..and minus the chute, it looks like a 13 second mustang.

I wouldnt think this was a 8 second ride if I pulled up next to it. The chute would be the only thing that gave it away but by the sound of it I would think this is one of those guys that put the chute on it because it looks cool and for future use. I would quickly find out that isnt the case. Sounds like maybey a 10 second ride. Sweet though.

Fox Bodies are the only Mustangs I would own. This car's not a sleeper thou, with a chute, and bigger tires in the rear. I'm planing on a Cutlass or Delta 88 sleeper and it's going to have the wire wheel covers. and mud flaps on the rear to hide the fact the rear tires are wider than the front

I would have to agree, as a regular strip goer That doesn't look like much of a sleeper, that sucker screams power. I will say that the engine is pretty quiet compared to most that run that speed, but that's partially due to the Turbo and you're probably running a High lift low duration low overlap camshaft
