I saw this show in Chicago is a tiny theater, seated second row. Her interpretation was amazing and the crowd gave her an ovation that I think is still going on.

While Karen Carpenter clearly has the better vocals, I actually think this is the way this song is supposed to be sung. Longing, poignant, sexy, desperate. Beautiful job, you go, Bette.

Bette Midler es una gran comediante pero en esta interpretación pierde los papeles totalmente. A los 30 segundos ya estamos deseando que la canción termine, es aburridísima. ¿Para qué se lleva las manos a la cara cuando dice "radio", ni hablar de la levantada de pelo cuando maúlla "baby, baby". ¿Quieren oir una interpretación realmente caliente de este tema? Es la de KAREN CARPENTER. Eso es transmitirle sensualidad e intimidad al oyente. Karen lo hacía con su voz, ¡por completo!
