  • not a true 2 click flare.

  • yes it is, let the sound come in then two clicks foward then same thing on reverse. He is just doing it in a twiddle fashion. same effect. clicks sound a little more heavier then a twiddle though. i think

  • good so shut up!

  • what up homie, just a quickie,i saw jazzy jeff here in canada 6 months ag0(for me THE best scratch dj alive..still)

    whos your fav

  • this video was posted on my birthday

  • day b4 my birthday :D

  • yay!! =D happy belated birthday!

  • Hey brotha, nice vid but the 2 click flare has 3 sounds because you have to start with the fader open. Your technique is like a 2 finger crab, the sound has 2 clicks or sounds foward and 2 sounds back. The 1 click flare is similar because you make 2 sounds with only 1 click ( fader movement. ) So the 2 click flare ( orbit ) actually has 3 sounds with only 2 fader movements. I hope this helps.

  • a 2 finger crab is called a twiddle ;)

but yeah, it is a twiddle in this vid

  • I'm not sure you know, because at around 1.05 you can clearly hear the 3 sounds of a 2 click flare. It seems hes achieving the same effect using a different method. I use my thumb (like most people) to do a 2-Click

  • PS its not a twiddle because a twiddle, when you break it down is to very fast consecutive transforms, with alternating fingers at least thats my take on it. Here he is starting with the fader open and cutting out the sound twice

  • wait, lol, u r da same person XD

    btw, the tutorial helps!! :D

    thx man

  • No worries, glad u like the vids!

  • So how long have u been scratching??

    lyk since what age?? :P

  • been scratching for about one year now man, i dont think im the best out there, but figured i could maybe teach people who cant scratch at all a few moves

  • hey, the fader you are using, is it Vestax PMC 05 mk3 mixer?

  • That Shit have never been a flare scratch!!! Just crap scratch with 2 fingers!! sorry dude, practice pratice:-)

  • think u'll find its called the "twiddle" and it actually works quite well!

  • damn- you're a noob with no knowledge of skratching. Granted the cuts weren't as smooth as they could be, but he was definitely doin two clickers; he was just doing it finger style instead of wrist style--another thing a crab is actually a four click flare you ass!

  • It's not my point of you, it's a fact you damn noob. Any serious scratcher knows that a crab is a four click flare and that a twiddle is a 2 click orbit.

And as far fucking me, no thanks - your mama was enough - fo' sure!!

  • thanks man - I been practising for a week from your chirp tutorial which was very useful so cheers for this one as well.

  • thanks man, thats why i put this on youtube, im just amazed at how many people have veiwed, so thank you!

  • yo hectik, your vids are cool man. Your nice simple explinations have helped me learn alot! thanks from australia! :)

  • hey man no worries :) i got some more vids on the way so keep watching this space for scratch tips and tricks! Bigup Hectic

  • maaan, you smoke too much :) Nevertheless respect!

  • try practicing the 2clicker in wrist style instead of finger style(ie. twiddles) for awhile - it's a good strengthening exercise!

  • i agree, doing 2 clicks with out the twiddle will help you learn to cut the sound in rythm with the beat, which comes in handy when learn 1 click flare orbits

  • Ir You Stoned

  • ohnvm i found out what i did wrong

  • that was really cool. i was trying it but it doesnt it work for me. when i do the flare with the fingers on the crossfaders. im not getting the quick small cut effects. it just sounds like the crossfader is doing nothing. im really starting to think its my mixer. its a behringer dx700. what mixer do you happen to have.

  • berhinger djx700? i have the same mixer and do just fine with flare's

  • you're killin it man, can you post some vids with some more dance beats scratched to

  • Yeah no problems man, i did upload a new vid last night scratching to a house beat, so please check that out. I'll upload some more vids soon!

  • thnx m8 looks really professional learnt a lot m8 cheers

  • hi mate, ta 4 that, helped me out, i scratch to hard house tho which is alot faster, any chance you could do some stuff with hard house cheers

  • thanks djafrobaby. As it goes im really into Hardcore which is like 160BPM faster than hardhouse...see i find doing the transformer scratch is easier to faster music. I will do a vid to show ya what i mean. peace

  • nice vid makes it easier to understand, post more!

  • Cheers ash maybe you could boost the ratings on this vid a bit then! lol. Well what other scratch moves do you wanna learn? I'll be posting some more vids soon jus had to get a job first!

  • ok thanks mate

  • hi wt record r u using to scatch on?

  • looks like the super seal record

  • Hi Peter, as complex wrote it is the QBERT super seal scratch record i am using to scratch. Using the classic "ahhh" sample which can be found on nearly any scratch record these days. And the tune im scratching to is Louis Slipperz & Raw Dog Bareback Instrumentals

  • sick man! 2click flare never look so easy

  • m8 ive tryed startin wiv the fader and still cant get it

do u hit it wiv ur thumb and then do the 2 clicks or would

a slow motion video would really help

  • btw i dont scratch hamster like u so that might be why

  • hi, when u do tht , u cut the sound into 3 sounds, when i try it it only goes into 2 sounds :S

  • Hi Atreyu12, are you starting with the cross fader open? you do two clicks then leave the fader open, then do the same in reverse,i hope this helps? If not i could do another vid but in slower motion? Please let me know if that would help. Thanks

  • nah i aint startin wiv the fader open, thats probably why then XD, nah you dont have to do another vid m8 thnx anyway

  • Thanks for posting this I found it helpful

  • thanks for the comment, please let me know if you would like to learn any other scratch moves?

  • When you were using your two fingers, I believe that scratch is called the "twiddle scratch."

  • hi thanks for the comment, trust this is the same as the two click flare but im using two fingers, this can also be called the 'orbit' or 'twiddle' but i am cutting the sound twice on foward and twice back, 2 clicks = 2 click flare

  • nice video, what record are you using to scratch?
