NAKED RAYGUN is the best Punk band out of Chicago. A True Chicago Punk Band!!! The effigies are a bunch of rich kids from Evanston (How Punk is that????) They have and always will be in the shadow of NAKED RAYGUN!!! effigies need to Hang it up!! They have to be put on a bill with other bands to draw any crowd.
That you believe their standing or wealth has any bearing on their spirit is a bastardization of the punk ethos and perpetuation of the class war that the music was created for. You're no better than the machine. If you don't personally enjoy their music, fine, but ostracizing them because your parents couldn't afford to live in as nice an area as them is pathetic for someone that's now 40 years old.
Gotta admit - the first Effigies record I heard was For Ever Grounded, but the first time I saw them was at the Cubby Bear with Robert. Forever, I Know, Blue Funk - those were some nice tunes. And Bloodsport backing up John K. was a match made in heaven. *sigh*
yea but you gotta admit CP, they still punk out... lol

My name is Earl (aka Oil). I wrote this song. I was later kicked out of the band for being a straight liberal.
