  • I mean, don't u understand the logic behind it. It has to do with a deep believe system. Nobody believes in atheist, I mean, who is your god. You ppl r very confused.

  • If there is no God, the let's follow what Jesus said. Eat, drink and be marry, cause tomorrow u will die. I will love for antheust to ever come up to me, to try to preach morality to me. Survival of the fittest, it seems like most atheist r forgetting about their instinct. Atheist, please don't preach morality, u don't have any authority.

  • I'm a believer in Christ, but if I wasn't, I would wipe my ass with empathy and compassion. I would only apply it to whom I choose. It really puzzles me how atheist want to teach morality, but they dont want to believe in God. I really don't know what world u live in. But what I experience everyday in the real world, is nothing like what u speak off. I guess this happens to both "pseudo xtians" & atheist.

  • Amen! love everyone regardless of their belief and philosophy. Your last name wouldn't be Sagan by any chance? =-) He indirectly championed human unity. I can tell you're a mellow guy. You have a kitty in the background : o)

  • @Redskin1040 Thank you very much.

  • Are you a psychologist? You seem more intelligent than others I've spoken with.

  • @Elinitsam No I am not a psychologist. As for intelligence, I leave that for you to decide.

  • I am not preaching Christianity, but I enjoy the wisdom of this verse;

"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves." (Matthew 10:16)

I thank you for the message in this video, which you delivered clearly and directly.

  • An alternate translation, which I prefer, reads "gentle as doves".

  • u seem like a nice man and ur voice is very relaxing. im not very religious but i agree with a lot of what u say :)

  • I am not at all religious. I am just posing a question to those who say they are religious...if Christians believe in Christ then why don't they obey his teachings a little more frequently?

  • sorry i obviously misunderstood u

  • No worries. Thanks for watching AND taking the time to comment.

  • clear eyes for dry eyes this is soooooooo zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzz zzzz zzzzzzzzz zz zzzzz zzzz z zzz zzzzzz zzz zzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzz zzz zzzzzzzz zzzzz zzzzz zzz zz z z z z zzzzz

  • Yes.

  • You are aware that what you speak during that last minute of this vid about a unified "worldwide " tribe is prophecy and will be known as The New World order? This will abolish anyones freedom of religious practice, when this day comes the Meek, will not bow or kneel to "cesar",but the members of such false religions which promote as you say through government today will!!While the sincere shall inherit the earth!like the vid,and remember the devils greatest trick!!Science is Gods architecture.

  • Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave such a thoughtful comment.

    Peace

  • Perhaps I was not clear...I tried to include the text in the sidebar. To quickly recap, my point is that if you are Christian it is your duty to be kind to ALL, and that if you are an atheist - kindness likely is the most reasonable option if virtually all situations.

  • i didnt really get why is this reffered to atheist and christians

  • nice video

  • thanks :-)

  • you fear death? why fear the inevitable?

  • I was referring to the instinctual fear of death that is inborn/genetic. As I said in the video, the only way I have found to overcome this fear is to reach out to others and try to help. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Peace.

  • I'm afraid of death too. I'd rather not be but I would be lying to myself if I said I wasn't afraid. I rarely appreciate this kind of stuff, but i thought you pulled off your message spectacularly.

  • THIS IS AMAZING!

  • Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. AND most especially, thank you for taking the time to make a video...WOW! I only have a handful of people who actually took the time to make a video response. Peace.

  • We love our enemies because it is our job.

It does not mean it is supposed to be pleasant or that you like it.

Hating your enemy is like making a mess. It is easy and natural but you hope someone else cleans up your mess. Did you ever see a war zone or a suicide bomber? Who do you think cleans up that mess?

Loving your enemy is like cleaning up a mess. It is not a pleasant task but it yields a pleasant result and the benefits are great.

  • "We love our enemies because it is our job." I am not sure that I see it as a "job". For me it is simply the most reasonable/practical approach to things given the tremendous interconnectivity of the modern world. But I definitely agree wiht our analogy in other respect. Too bad most do not hold to this view.

  • Forgot to ask you about NLP. Since you have knowledge about neurosciene and what not. Thanks, dale.

  • My "knowledge" of neuroscience would fit in a child's tea cup quite easily. :-) I have read a few articles and most recently a wonderful book: "Phantoms In The Brain" by Dr. V.S. Ramachandran, which I highly recommend - readable and very informative! I do not know what NLP is. Peace.

  • Nuero Linquisitic Programing. I guess its suppose to reprogram bad habits and phobias. Phantoms in the brain sounds interesting i'll get that one of these days.

  • Ahhh...I am familiar with the idea of neuro-linguistic programming. I believe that evidence is mounting for our ability to re-program the schema in our brains, at least to some extent. In my personal experience I have found that confronting certain negative schema like guilt and shame complexes (when I am able) can over time lessen their impact.

  • Christians being tolerant? people in other parts of the world get killed or beaten for professing Jesus. In the US people look upon christians as fools and ridicule them. Jesus indeed was a man of peace but mentioned being a true follower meant being hated by all. Matthew 24:9 he says, "Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name."

  • I agree that some people do persecute Christians. I also see signs of Christians being intolerant of others. I guess being Christian is no protection from the need to persecute others or the risk of being persecuted. As for me I live in a country (USA)whose national holidays are primarily Christian and with a President who claims to hear/listen to the Christian God (Trinity?). Oh well. :-)

  • This is one thing I have noticed myself. Self can be a dark and lonely place. Often there is more contentment in group-unity-community ect. Maybe I'll do a responce video, but I don't know which group I should consider myself in, I am not a christian or an atheist.

  • Oh well. Whatever group you are in, it is better for having you in it. :-)

  • being in/on self is not always a bad thing, for that is the time in which you may reflect, and look outside the box and see a bigger picture, fear of being alone is only lonely if you fear it through reason of guilt!

  • I agree. It is alway good to find balance.

  • Bingo.

  • Your question for Christians was direct and answerable. however I was waiting for the question you had for atheists but you what gave was more of a philosophical speculation then a question.

  • Apologies for not being clear. Assuming that atheists (like myself) believe in psychology, psychiatry and neuroscience, what would happen if we were to follow the guidance of these sciences? In my limited knowledge the scientific evidence favors actions based on kindness rather than anger and fear.

  • "what if" questions aren't really direct in and therefore it's more of a speculation .

  • Your logic is irrefutable. Let me try it another way. My assumption has been that I and my fellow secularists and atheists try to use reason and science to guide our actions. If this is true, then are we being hypocritical when we use fear and anger to promote our point of view?

  • You asked: "What If we acted as if [reason] were truly the best guide for our lives" Then there would be peace in the world. :O)

    Katalyzt

  • I agree.

  • Hey dale... this is the first vid I watch from you.

Yes, we should try to look upon ourselves as a part of a local tribe. Try to see the apparent humanity in all people. And I believe that will become more common as time goes by.

  • Thanks for watching. Maybe we can become more united.

  • ahaha... yeah... and "local" was meant to be "global" in my prev txt msg :D
