what version of bayadere have u been watching where gamzatti makes a guest apperance in the kingdom of the shades? The only principals in the kingdom of the shades are Solar and Nikiya. I wanted to thank you for posting this video! Daria is a beautiful dancer who is usually overshadowed by the "BIG STARS" of the kirov ex vishneva and lopatkina. Daria is my original ballet teachers sister and it has been amazing to finally be able to watch her perform in roles not brought to the U.S.
I am referring to Petipa's original - which is shown here in the Mariinsky's reconstruction - where the pas d'action is taken to its original position in the final act. Watch my uploads.
Gamzatti's pas d'action in the 1941 soviet edition (which is not a pas d'action at all but rather a Grand Pas classique) is in the second act, or third tableau. In Petipa's original it is in the 4th act.
where is 14!!!!! i wanted to see the three shades! i never gotton to see their solos!
