Hello, I have a branded Z8 and I wanted to update it but the program "motorola

Software Update" crashes when I connect the phone that there are other ways

to update it without losing the warranty? please help me

further, i have GPRS activated but when i try to connect device management its "sync is currently suspended" please let me know where i am doing mistake.

i live in canada and have this phone unlocked. if i was to update this phone will i be able to use it?

I decided to FLASH and install other firmware by RSD, because i didn't find the original ferrari firmware from Asia, and I've installed a ferrari one that I've found on internet. Successfully installed but a little diferent from original, I want to know if now I can UPDATE to a Original firmware with this way that you did show in video, and how, because my device management is empty, Help me to set up it ( Device Management )?

Hello, I bought my z8 ferrari edition at Hong Kong, i'm from Brazil.After many days using, sometimes it got freeze and I had to took the battery out, and after that it stays with little bugs.

This could be caused by several reasons:

-No internet connection on the device

-No internet routing to Motorola's server from the operator network

-Bad network coverage

I suggest that you try again from another location. If it still fails, contact Motorola. Good luck!

It is free from Motorola, but your operator will probably charge you for airtime minutes. Good luck!

i updated my phone via RSD lite with ferrari firmware. it was successfully finish and said on my computer to manually turn the phone on. so i did and nothing happen! now my phone is complelety dead! i dont know what to do.. please help me if u can..

It sounds like you updated your phone over a cable connected to your computer. This is not FOTA. FOTA is performed over the air. Actually, updating mobile phone firmware over a cable connected to a PC can be unreliable, whereas FOTA is 100% failsafe. If your phone is dead, your only option is to bring your phone to the store where you purchased it. Good luck!

My phone did not come with the Motorola settings preprogrammed. Can you provide me with the settings so that i may update my phone aswell ... ?

Perhaps your phone is "disabled" for FOTA updates. This sometimes is requested by the operator, if the operator does not offer this service. Call your operator to ask.

The phone was purchased unlocked directly from Motorola. I think it simply did not come programmed into the phone.

Only the ROM is updated. Anything the user has downloaded to the phone like contacts or music, etc. is left untouched.
