I have a hanger somewhat like the one you have with the big holes in it but it seems to crimp my scarves and I have to iron them a second time before wearing them.
I'm from Hyderabad, India and my aunt got me this bangle-hanger from the old city. I guess in the West it's a pants-hanger with long parallel horizontal arms. No clips!
Since I have more scarves than bangles, I use it to organize my scarves. It holds them flat so they don't get crumpled, and you can unhook and open each arm for easy removal.
for the 1st hanger i wud fold my hijab in a think rectanlge and hang it on the metal bars going across so u cud fit 8 light weight hijabs on there.love the red hanger!!
from where do you buy your plain string Underscarves ? you have all the colours , can you please tel me where to buy them ,i am in london, if you know a shop here , thank you
I think it was from the 'Besta' range - technically it's a bookshelf, but, like most Ikea things, you can customise it. So, we bought 2 glass doors, which you can personalise with your own wallpaper/artwork/pictures/etc behind the glass. I inserted my wallpaper to match the room. Gotta love Ikea. Hope that helps.
hey about your hangers i used to do that but now i find it much easier to fold all my scarfs and put them on my shelves in the wardrobe-defo alot better and much tidier. Hope you dont mind me asking but wher did you get your coat from, looks very cosy!!!!! xx
i use tie hangers for the "neck type scarves" and bandanas. As for the rest- they are a mess, but not much i can do about that because i just dont have room in my cupboards lol. Thanks for the video :) - love the area that surrounds you, it looks pleasant and quiet.
I've seen a few of those hangers around but at the mo my wardrobe is just full of clothes nevermind trying to add hijabs hehe. So for the time being they just sit 'folded' in a couple of drawers.
With al-amirahs/bonnet caps/arm covers etc I just fold them and put them in another drawer so I can see each colour/pattern by the edges
sounds like something that is used on the "Huggable Hangers" that are sold in the US on either QVC or HSN or online or the cheaper version sold in WalMart. I have one of my hangers like the firs tone that you showed but it has rubber on the clip tips to protect the fabric. it's still colod here in the US too! sometimes a 2-hijab day! :-)
PROBLEM IS I HAD LINKS FOR PICTURES OF EACH BUT YOUTUBE WON'T LET ME POST THEM,so here is the description :(
STORAGE TIPS:
- best way for me is that i store the rectangle hijabs on the IKEA round hooks, they are a set of 4x6 circles i think that you place the hijabs in.
they are similer to your red one's but i think those hold much more and the circles are much bigger so it's easier to use, they are awesome, i also have several and use each set based on color (blue hanger/ red hanger etc.)
as for my "bones" or bonets worn under the scarf, i use those fabric drawers they sell to usualy store shoes, each drawer is for a color so i label each one for easy access and just slide the fabric drawer for the color i need.
sorry again for not being able to post pictures :(, if anyone knows if i can do that let me know!
ahh yes I used to have the circular Ikea hangers as well - didn't like them much - my smaller scarves used to fall out all the time, and the rest dropped too low for my short cupboard.
Good idea about the fabric drawers! Must get one when I visit Ikea again. I currently just fold them and pile them in a little drawer - they don't really get messy but I suppose there's always room for a little more neatness (says the neat-freak in me) Thanks!
maybe you can take pictures of yourself in every outfit and then put them in a picture video, just to get inspired of how you put things together and layer with the hijab :), i think that would be wonderful :D
salam amena, im suprised that u are able to sit outsite in snow coz in canada its so cold that i can barely stay for 1 min outside. Thanks for another good video
That is fantastic, you have the BEST ideas. thank you! I can't wait to get hold of that hanger, I really need to organise my scarfs :) when is your website going to be up and running? xxx
