I first heard this song on the radio, love the song & video especially since christmas is around the corner and many are facing a hard time this year, with missing loved ones, illness, lonely and tough times. With your permission i have asked our small town to show this video over and over for a full hour this tues/wed/thurs night 6:30pm as we gather and all light candles, mingle, keep warm with have something warm to drink.

This song was playing on the radio the night my Dad died. I was driving home from the hospital late at night and I went through a red light. Of course there was a police man right behind me...go figure. He pulled me over but had great compassion and did not ticket me. I pulled away from the curb, it was snowing and this song played quietly on my car radio. I started bawling......well...to this Light a Candle is my favourite Christmas song.

I love this song. This group has gone through so many changes with new members coming and the originals leaving. Avalon used to be my favorite group because there were 4 equally talented individuals who ,by themselves, could take every genre of music and make it their own. What I also liked about this group was that no matter who is singing lead, the others would add their own special touch to each song without taking anything from the lead's part. Cherie, Jody, Janna, and Michael were the best.

Omg I's SO happy I found this!!! I love this song.. One Christmas when my church donated toys and things to homeless people and held a dinner for them I sang this song while all the little kids held candles.. It makes me cry... and makes my heart ache for the people that need more but aren't able to get it.
