I stumbled upon the Ukrainian Bachelor recently when Maks made a comment that he wishes he never did it. I got hooked because Maks and Yana had such a great presence on screen, a truly amazing physical chemistry. I wish they made a movie together, if the real life was not for them. No matter what Maks wanted or was trying to pursuade himself as a better solution (Sasha), he was subconciously drawn to Yana. Relationship with Yana was not for TV though, it would have to be done privately.

Yes, i know the finale was over for him about 3 months now but isn't the entire point of a show like this to not know what has actually happened until the final show? That's why the bachelors/bachelorettes have contracts to lay low but maybe he wasn't required to or it only applied to him in the Ukraine. Honestly, I'm not shooting down your point of view, I just think the courteous thing for him to do was to keep his new relatiionship private for the sake of the show's viewers til the last one.

12. Yana and Maks went for a walk. They just having casual conversation about how much they like Paris. Then Yana asked him if her parents liked her. He said that he's mom is "madly" in love with her. (nothing about dad). After their ride Yana hugged him and told him that she don't want him to leave. He said that he's not going anywhere yet and they continue walking. The end of the episode.

11. Maks in his interview said that he knew that Yana will be his mom's favorite. They looks alike, they behave the same, Yana always reminds him of his mom.

Everyone back to the table. Yana is about to leave. Maks dad saying that they hopefully will meet again. Then asked Maks what would happen if Yana won't be able to get a Visa. Maks just said "Dad" ( it sounded like common, dad)

10. Mom and Yana : Yana tells Larisa that Maks in the past liked girls with a little "bitch" side of them and she's hoping that he's not going to make the same mistake again. Larisa said that she's worry about the same thing. She said that Maks is so soft and often girls takes advantage of him. It was very sweet when Maks mom offered to peel a mandarin for Yana ( she really likes her). Larisa raised the toast " For us, beautiful" :-)

9. Maks and dad : Maks told dad that mom felt in love with Yana. Dad said "well, it's mom" Then he said " I don't know, I don't know who is better for you. A nice quiet girl that will stay home and wait for you, or a "tiger" from whom you don't know what to expect.

8. Yana and mom: Larisa's first question to Yana was how she feels toward Maks, Does she loves him ? Yana said that it's hard for her to talk about her feelings. Mom said that she understands that it's very personal. Yana said that she really hopping that everything will turns out just fine. Maks mom said that they will guide Maks to make a right choice. She said that she (mom) already made her choice and smiled to Yana.

Ok, one more comment on this segment: watching it for like the 3rd time, esp now with Zhanna's wonderful translation, I find it interesting that Mama just KNOWS about Jana, she seems to have that wonderful intuition that just lets her know that Jana is wonderful whereas Papa seems distrusting of her which is very interesting.

7. He said "OK, then lets do that". His mom said : "Does that mean that we taking Yana home ?" Maks said that he really likes Yana, that she was the first girl he noticed on the show. Mom said : " OK, great, lets just take her and go home". She said that she likes her so much and asked Maks to listen to his mom opinion and advice. He said that he's listening. Maks said in his interview that for his mom is important that someone truly loves him.

I'm not funny, I'm a patriot. But this rumor is 115 times the snake was discussed in different versions-how could Maxim send Sasha home if they are forbidden by contract to meet until the end of the show. Maxim should arrive in Ukraine on July 7.

6. When Yana asked him if he don't trust her he said he does not know, the time will show it all. She replied that she's hoping that he will trust her. Maks and mom : Mom said that Yana loves sweets, that she and Yana will be going to cafe together. Maks said that if they will be going and spending time at the cafe, it's better just to buy a cafe. She said "Ok, let buy a cafe". Maks asked her if she REALLY wants to buy a cafe and again she said yes.

Given how incredibly close Maks is to his parents(really beautiful to see in this segment how wonderfully affectionate they are), I can really see how important it it to him what they think of these girls.......WHICH IS WHY.......for now, at least it seems that Jana would be a very happy union for both parents(esp Mama) and Maks.

5. Yana and dad : Yana said that since she don't have a dad, she wants to ask him for a "father" advice. What he can suggest to her. He said that he really don't have any advice for her, he said that if she really sincere in what she saying and doing, then everything will be just fine. He said that he still don't know if how she behaves now it's her being real, or she just pretending for the the sake of the show.

Maks mom in interview said that Yana didn't really had a normal childhood (working since she was 13 and living alone), she said if things work out and she moves with them, she and her husband will try to help her in her life and maybe she will soon forget about her tough experience in her home life.

3. In her interview she said that Maks dad was very serious while talking with her, haven't made one single joke, he was just seriously talking about serious subjects. Back to Maks and mom : Mom again talking nicely about Yana, she tells Maks that Yana is ready for marriage and kids, that they, his parents will help her with her career. Maks kissed his mom and said that she's always ready to help anyone.

Maks dad said that he thinks that a girls growing up with out dad are usually become very close with their mothers and he said he don't know how that closeness may affect them in they own marriage, how do they picture the man's role in the marriage. Yana said that she wants her kids to have a father in their life and she will do everything possible that nothing could separate her with her husband. She said that her kids should not and will not be raised with out their dad.

1. Maks dad and Yana in the room : He said that he didn't wanted to ask her this question at the table so he asking her now in private. He said that from what he understood that Yana does not have a father. He asked her if that happened recently, or she was growing up with out him. She said that she does not know her dad, never saw him. She had a step dad that din 't treat her well and her mom saw that and decided to split with him and just tried to be there for her kids.

At the beginning of episode 10 it showed a glimpse of Maks lying on a bench under a blanket, on a balcony with Paris view behind and I was hoping it was Yana snuggled up with him, but they have stopped showing their date here. Can anyone else make out who is with him there?

Is he really attracted to Jana, though? I know everyone loves Jana and she is sweet, but I think the only reason she stands out so much is because the other girls are so scheming. I don't sense Maks has a strong physical attraction for Jana. When he sits with Nadya on the couch, he looks into her eyes and his voice changes (gets deeper and hoarse). That kiss on her neck during the lobster dinner too, hot. He doesn't look in Jana's eyes like that....

She is his type I think..with Jana I think he was interested,but ovr tm became more and more attracted to her warmth and personality. There seems to me more of a "comfort" factor , than an physical attraction. With Sasha it's like"I really wnt to believe you are sincere,because I am so physically attracted to you",I thk Maks does love Jana,but maybe nt in the way we may want hm to.

I guess most of us are rooting for her because of what a wonderful person she is but I have to agree that Maks seems to have more of physical/sexual attraction for Sasha, as someone else said, more as a woman. In the end, it may be that he's not truly compatible with any one of them but as far as deserving a chance of a relationship, Yana is the one.

I just wanted to say that after last week's episode where there was such a big focus on Marina and the connection with Jana and Maks did not seem strong, for me, a Jana lover, this episode exceeded all imaginable expectations around their connection. The hand that accepts the ring has Sashas fingers and manicure...shorter and squared... Yana seems to like hers long and rounded. I think he kept Yana till the end bc she is basically a version of HIS own mom but I think he will choose Sasha. I HOPE I'm wrong bc im rooting for YANACHKA!!!

Jana has to be the one! I have loved her from the beginning and I don't needsubtitles or translation because their all speaking through their eyes... So down to earth Maks's mom loved her right away.

Love Maks mom & dad, dad so funny and mom so sweet, kind of people you want to spend Sundays with.

I can't wait to hear the translation-so curious to find out what Mama said to Maks that seemed very serious and also the conversations with Jana and the parents. Perhaps Maks is concerned for her desire for a career that he feels might interfere with his or the fact that she is a teeny bit overweight-obviously, he is very body conscious as witnessed by his comments to fellow DWTS pros a few years ago.

@garancevn After reading everyone's comments and emailing a few YT friends who are also watching, a few new insights emerge: a. Maks says Jana reminds him of his mother so maybe that's an issue b. Maybe it's because Sasha really flirts sexually with Maks whereas Jana does not(she's very affectionate but not overtly sexual) c. I think Sasha is the one he's the most sexually attracted to ......

I think this is why he looks so strange during the Sasha segment.

You know, there were times when they were together (Venice, I think) when this STRONG INTUITIVE FEELING (not just a romantic idea) came over me that said, THEY BELONG TOGETHER. It was such a strong feeling. So who knows? Nothing by chance. Maybe it was destiny that Maks chose the to do the show. Maybe it's destiny that he chose Sasha instead of Jana so he could come back to the Ukraine to get to know her better. Who knows? Only time will tell eh?

@tiarakf because the final girl's hand looks most like Sasha's... and somewhat like Yana's (but her skin isnt as dark), and it looks nothing like nadya's hand... but i think it can totally be Yana's hand since its in the dark and skin color might look darker at night...

but the final girl also isnt as tall as Yana, and looks a lot skinnier...

but i really hope Yana wins

@yellowpepsi3 - I too was thinking the girl in the end (if it is indeed the final rose recipient) is on the more petite side i.e. not Yana. Yana is such a sweetheart and I wish her nothing but the best *if" she isn't the one in the end - life will go on and she'll go on to find the one for her. I would love to have someone like her as my friend. Lord knows how hard it is these days to find a good friend as much as a good man and she has a heart of gold.

@renatam - I'm sorry, I don't mean the final rose but the brief scene of the promo where they show him putting on a ring on the finger (so "final" in the sense that she is the winner). The promo is within the first few minutes of episode 1, with the horse drawn carriage and him putting a ring on and them kissing but not showing the girl's face.

@tiarakf It just seems to be floating around. I think some people read it on Russian Bachelor forums, that he chose her. But I also hear someone say that he already sent her back to Russia. So I guess no one knows for sure but that seems to be "the word on the street". :-(

Maks doesnt put her in a car and let her go like he did with Nadya... they go around Paris.. get on the a ferris wheel .... then u start to thing it's a movie and they should really kiss... but then they dont... at the end of the date Maks kisses her... the end =]
