04-08 was a sweet line up for Acura. Everything across their line up was great looking inside and out and were great cars.

@Jamzkangster seems like nissan/infinity likes to utilize smooth lines, Honda/Acura is more straight lines. The newer Gs look a little bit too dramatic and the 2009-10 TL are a lot more aggressive and striking. I personally like the aggressive look despite what people say about the beak !

The Acura TL is very definitely not a premium automobile. Interior plastic appointments appear cheap and several of the panels in mine mis-fit. Seat comfort is only so so, they become even harder during lengthy drives. This car has the softest paint, so expect blemishes in short order. On the plus side the rear seat can accomodate two adults and the trunk is roomy. The engine, roadholding and reliability of this car are exceptional. Don't buy it if you're considering a Lexus, BMW or MB.

I have 44,500 miles on this automobile at a cost of oil change and filter every 3,000 miles and one set of tires. Also I might point out it jiggles and lurches alarmingly below 40 mph, but at higher speeds its a blast. It never fails to deliver when I ask it for more. Overall I would rate this car a solid 7+ out of 10.

An 08' TL Type-S (6MT) would be the TL to get in my opinion. It's the last year of the generation I actually love. WTF happened to the new ones? Man they are ugly. It's cool that they brought back the 6spd for 2010 though...I do like that the 6spd comes with AWD too. If I got a new one, I would change the front grille and rear tail pipes. Then it wouldn't be all that bad. I heard the steering sucks on the 09+ cars though...Hopefully the next restyle will be awesome again.

It may be an ugly car to ya'll but the white one is beautiful and edmonds gave it a really high review. And one of the most important things any car should have is the defects and from what ive read, it has little problems if any.

I want this to be my first car. '04 and '05 models seem to be pretty damn cheap with fairly low miles on Craigslist, so I'm hoping there'll still be good deals when the time comes for me to buy.

Same here! Haha. I was just on Craigslist. There are a few places you can get aftermarket parts for too. Like the "type s" spoiler and specially designed cold air intakes. If you care about that kind of thing. Carid has some good stuff.

i dont know what to get this or the tsx 1st gen ofcourse 2004-2008, i dont want the TL in 6 speed manual, its too big. i have test driven 4 tsx's 2004-2005 and 2 TL 2004 one was 6 speed manual. I cold handle it but i preffer a car of this size to be auto, all the TSX were manual and really fun to drive. please help me decide what do you guys think

@MVP15420 Unless i have a rattle lemon my car is proof that rattles were not fixed. I know at some point every car has rattles or squeaking but i think mine might be a bit excessive. I've brought it in a few times for them to fix them but it still does it.

there's nothing wrong with FWD. Most cars use it. RWD is only really important in sports cars.

The 2007 TL was rated for 20/29, but the EPA changed their testing standards starting for all 2008 model vehicles. It's really 18/26 mpg

You're an idiot. Honda NA even stated, the reason why the TL was chosen to stick with FWD was because of the chassis balance problems when reverted to RWD.

The chassis, is not suitable for RWD ride...Which is why it stuck with horrible FWD..

After that, my TL demoted to a family car amongst my colleague....

I blame it on TL's drive train (and maybe my cheap ass tires)...
