@kumarsa108 no my gf was a converted christian then she realize that she almost lost her identity and culture because of it. then she went back to her ancient faith. most of the people in assam, nagaland and other northeast india have been influenced by christian missionaries. that's why i want nepal to be careful of it. these missionaries are taking advantage of brahmanical culture and religion such as caste system to convert dalits and other disadvantage into Christianity.

@diliprai Kirat is not the native religion of the Naga, it is Haraka. Also only 0.3% of the population of Nagaland maintain that faith, unfotunately they have been dupped and lost thier own beautiful religion. In their case it had nothign to do with caste in Hinduism because they were never Hindu. Also the Manipuri and Assamese Hinduism does not believe in caste discrimination. Infact most forms of Hinduism is Bhakti based and all reject it in their theology, it is only a societal legacy.

@kumarsa108 maybe you got the difinition of kirat wrong. kirat doesn't only mean rai and limbu. kirat means mongoloid ppl of the himalayas. so any mongoloid ppl of the himalayas is kirat and that includes nagas. anyway nepalese need to chase christian missionaries from nepal. these christian missionaries have destroyed many faith and culture in assam and nagaland. nepalis must work towards more on buddhism and kiratism and not foriegn culture, religion like hinduism, islam and christianity.

There was also a time when so-called Kiratas were foreign so to apply such a notion for people who have existed in the land for millennia is nonsensical. In order for Nepal to have its own distinctive identity away from India, following must be taken by the Nepalese.

Buddha was born in Nepal and so the New Constitution of Nepal must make Buddhism as national religion of Nepal. More importantly Nepalese need to distinguish Hinduism.

Hinduism= Brahmanical religion + Kirati religion.

Nepalese must shift from Brahmanical religion towards Kirati religion. Kirat religion is more of worshiping of mother nature, land and ancestors.
