however, i'm haveing trouble learning to use it, i'm so used to windows doing everything for me! but in time, my Ubuntu will run everything i want it to...
i got most of my games to work in Ubuntu using some 3'rd party software. Only about 5 though, and when Spore comes out i'm hoping to add that to the list :D

Well XP is good for nothing. If you wanna play games all your life then use XP. If you want to use a real OS then use Linux. Linux is built by people who love computers. They're out to build a stable and very useable OS. Windows is built by people who love money. They're out make as much money as possible, screw how good (or rather bad) the OS is.

go to ubuntudotcom it is ubuntu linux which works outrageous in a whole day u can learn it decently and you should then upgrade to beryl with ubuntu which i have now good luck...

I use Slackware 10.2 on an old Celeron 333MHz and it boots faster than my Win XP on a P4/2g. The 333 almost plays videos! I'm upgrading hardware soon, dreaming of the new SPARC T2, can afford a P3.
