I've been having a slight problem with windows7 in that for some reason the screen size isn't correct. whereas usually when you open a web page or a program, it would snap to the size of the screen. It is now oversized.

I've tried all the obvious ones, like screen resolution etc but it's not working.

Is there a setting somewhere that makes it snap to grid?

It happened once before and then mysteriously righted itself.

Haha, I agree. I've been using macs since OS X Tiger. The only memory I have from PCs is having to update the antivirus every other day. And the antivirus itself was the worst virus, since it slowed down the system substantially. I just downloaded OS X Lion today from the app store. I have one word for it: AWESOME.

Can anyone help me out with something? My computer does not have a dedicated graphics card (just the one built into the motherboard), and should not be able to handle graphically rich features such as Windows Aero. However, just a few minutes ago, I was using my computer when out of nowhere, the graphics just...got better! I have Windows Aero now and I'm able to use screensavers and games that I was not able to use before. It's incredibly weird! Does anybody have an explanation for this?

Windows 7 sucks mega donkey balls. Other then the obvious its a resource hog and a update maniac. Conflicts i never had on XP i have on 7. Had Windows 7 for about a week running it on a 6.5 performance rated system and its just pitiful. No wonder they are coming out with a Windows 8 soon. You can't even run web cam and then a headset without having a USB bandwith conflict. Are you kidding me? Solution for this, is keep XP an 7 on separate drives an run it in duel boot OS configuration.

@2ndtonone1000 i bought my computer in december 2009 with windows 7 home premium 64 bit quad core 2.5 ghz and 4 gigs of ram ddr2 and i havent had a problem or my pc slowing down EVER also u might want to try defregmenting ur hard drive maybe thats what made it slow if not maybe u did something wrong with installing the os

@gameteacher101 Also i've had unusual memory dumps on Windows 7 and after checking each dimm or module on each ram stick everything was fine and come to find out it was the OS like it always is. Never had these issues on XP. Now my virus protection which i'm running Kaspersky is picking up a HEUR trojan in the internet explorer browser and even Kaspersky doesn't have a fix for it or know where its actually coming from and thats after i roll back the drivers and OS to an earlier date.

@gameteacher101 yeah everybody at my work place keeps swearing by it but it does do some really dumb stuff and slows down the PC. I'm running six gigs of DDR3 ram with a quad core I7 chip with an Asus P6x58d-e motherboard and a Raid 5 1 terabyte each hard drive and it was insane fast before i put windows 7 on it. Kaspersky has always been a bit laggy even on XP. So maybe you might be on to something. I'll use essentials and see how it goes

My friend doesn't have any issues with his Alienware PC I was wondering if there are certain things they do to gaming pc's like when they are tweaking them as far as the registry and other things. I don't know any real secret tweaks besides overclocking that actually works.

@gameteacher101 Yeah i've been done that but what i'm refering to is when you are playing emulators an it being tweaked enough not to need a DLL or look for it or having to use the compatiblity mode. I've only seen this done on an Alienware gaming rig. You get virtually no crashes even on a 64bit OS. Its something else they do in the registry is what i've been told which is why Dell bought them out and now do it to their top end desktops. I haven't figured it out yet. Its far beyond startup apps

I'll be honest this is a good review but i had more problems with windows 7 than i had with xp. I didnt have any on vista. once it logged me onto a temporary profile for no reason. i don't like the superbar or aero peak i much prefer quick launch and imo 7 is pretty much a clone of vista that's why i do not consider buying it at all. I don't have the computer i had windows 7 on anymore anyway it annoyed me too much.
