I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Lissie is one of the most underrated artists of the modern era. Her raspy, unrelenting deliver is unparalleled in the modern pop era of tongue choking music like Ke$ha and Minaj. Her talent is so far above and beyond pop radio I hope that she just sticks to her core being and produces music to those of us that follow her. Hell yes, Lissie. Rock on.
I usually avoid covers of this song, Ann and Nancy Wilson won't even touch this one, but some reason I gave this band a chance at it and I was pleasantly surprised.
Bass Jesus just made playing the recorder infinitely cooler. If I knew that 30 years ago in primary school when I was attempting to master "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe", I would have taken it a little more seriously :-(
@TheatreofthemindMTV why because she isn't orange with fried unnatural colored hair? she's as beautiful as beautiful gets, tell me a musical artist out there who doesn't sell themselves looking like something their not. realness is beauty and she is chalk fucking full of it, not artificial shit like the rest of them.
love the last part 7:04 n 7:18 she didn't nailed the notes and just laughs at it. it's like she pulled a prank on her kid brother and got away with it ^_^
i think this is the only Stairway to Heaven cover that i honestly like the rest are annoying.
hope she perform/record a better one.
and the soprano recorder, bass guitar, bass drum - snare - crash played by one man... good stuff!
I'm sorry, but this is actually a very uninteresting cover, and it's not as hard to cover as some of you would like to think it is. I mean, the song itself is a rip-off of another song, so if anything it should lend itself to being covered. I think Lissie and co. did a much better job with Nothing Else Matters, but this is just too much like the source material. A good performance, sure, but not an original or creative cover.
I learned of Lissie from her work with DJ Morgan Page on "Fight For You". Few, very few, can cover this Zeppelin classic successfully. This woman nails it. I actually like it better than the original.
The bass player is driving me insane with his talent. He can play the bass, work pedals for percussion, and sing. All at the same time!. Now he's here playing the flute as well. Good God man, you've got talent!
never thought i would hear such a fantastic recording of this fab famous record - it is so unique and cannot get enough of hearing this. i remember this first time around and time has stood still!!! - rock on
absolutely love this, Lissie has got a fantastic way of putting so much emotion into any song that she sings. truly a legend and so very talented...love you Lissie and crew xx
This song is now nearly forty years old and looks to be around for a long time. It's about a woman who has accumulated money over the years but finds her life empty and with no meaning - "she's buying a stairway to Heaven".

Why does nobody honor the bassist?
That dude is playing flute, singing, drumming with both feet and playing bass.
Nearly every guitarist can play stairway to heaven, but who can play the bass, the flute and the drums (at the same time!)?

@Kekkeyu That's not a flute.. it's a fucking recorder hahaa
