  • Let's hear it for Jason Crigler! (guitar on this video)

  • Marshall should have been much bigger. His two records are outstanding. He gives a great concert and ought to be in the Rock Hall of Fame

  • @11xzxzxz

He has recorded more then two albums(cds) its close to 10. Five f which for Warner Brothers. His first two are the most recognizable.

  • @lsachs07 Yeah I know and I have a couple more including greatest hits. I just mean that his first two are my favorite waste of time and all time favs. Yeah I know this song is not among the first 2 records. I've seen Marshall in concert twice - actually in a very small building with about 50 others and he is great and very likable in person/concert. Sort of ego-less in some way .. just my opinion and I could be wrong.

  • what do you mean owen paul's is better? Marshall wrote this song! It's his all the way.

  • I had to get on the Staten Island Ferry to get over and see this guy for the first time.

    Worth every goddamn minute!

    Beautiful song!

  • owen pauls version is better

  • where can i get this song?!

  • I have the original on an LP titled "Attack of the Killer Bees" Which was a collection of B-sides. Don't know if it is available in other formats but its a great track and worth hunting down.

  • Lots of places. It's available on Marshall Crenshaw's Greatest Hits album "This Is Easy." It's available on his self-titled debut album (the repackaged expanded edition, so if you buy online, check the track listings). And for a live acoustic version comparable to the one above, eh released a live album from the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, titled "I've suffered for my art, now it's your turn." Enjoy.

  • u should c me

    be nice! cU

  • Where did that come from?

  • Ever heard the demo version of this with the heavy drums? It kills!

  • I've had the pleasure of cathcing Crenshaw live, and he puts on a terrific show. One of my all-time favorites!

  • To get back to the subject at hand: Marshall rocks!

  • WHY? He's great.

  • owieeee it is owieeee

  • nah owen paul mcgee's version is the best

his daughter is in my yr

    u probs dont bleive me

but her names olivia and shes 14

and everyone sings it to her to piss her off

  • My favourite artist, and my favourite of his songs. What could be better? Marshall rocks!

  • bette midler sucks horse-shit

  • Are you shure? can you prove this? Maybe it's some kind of PR gag from her. btw: get a life little kid!

  • lol.. guess my Midler bashing hit a nerve deep down in your queer-core. sorry pal, but Beaches confirmed the initial suspicions: Bette Midler eats a dick--and apparently so do you

  • And so do quite a few people, some of whom remember the example of Stonewall. :)

  • This is nothing compared to Bette Midler's version. I know she covered it, but she made a superb version version. She sings it brilliant live.

  • This is from:

"Marshall Crenshaw Live ----At the Can Company"

    Baltimore, Maryland

    May 7, 2004

    Jason Crigler, (lead guitar)

    Jeff Hill(bass)

  • we need more Crenshaw on this site

  • I am suprised to not see 'Someday Someway'anywhere. Anyone have that? Sorry if that one is cliche. It is still my fav.

  • There's a live version of it here now.

  • There was a kick ass version of it on youtube over a year ago but it has since been removed. Can't figure out why. It was a live performance from 1982 or so, and it rocked! Hope it comes back soon!

  • I'm referring below to "Someday Someway" in response to another's poster's query.
