  • for the acoustic intro, are you muting the "in-between" string when you strum, you know, when the two notes are separated by a string like the A and G strings? I always finger picked the intro for this reason and can't figure out how you are strumming it?

  • @Painkiller86 I'm only letting the strings that need to be sounding ring out, all the other strings are dampened by the tips/underside of my left hand fingers. The bass notes are palm muted with my right hand.

  • @shreddakj Awesome, thanks! I figured that's probably what was going on but it's too subtle to see in a video. Great playing! I hope you make more vids!

  • Wow, nice job! I am trying to learn this song but am having trouble. I try to fingerpick this and its nice but when I try to pick it, it sounds sloppy?

  • a bit stiff sometimes, other then that, great job man!

  • Fantastic cover of Circles Shreddakj. That is a difficult piece.

  • and btw you should check out and try some marc rizzo's solo stuff that guy is awesome you can check it out on my channel

  • wow amazing cover what effects for the clean parts? reverb and chorus?

  • New Blues by Satch that would be an awsome song to cover.

  • I feel like i just beat guitar hero 2 and theyre all shouting "Freebird, freebird!!!!!!!" for the encore hahahaha.

  • YOU ARE AMAZING

  • Thanks for the advice!

  • oh man i really Liked !

    Nice , u have a ME-50 too.

that would be good the sound of an Ibanez 270 With Me-50?

  • Depends a LOT on the amp as well.

  • how is that valveking overall for playing instrumental music like that... Im thinking of getting one for my js1000

  • I really like the valveking, and it sounds even better now that I've put in a Dimarzio Tonezone and a PAF pro into the guitar in this video.

I've heard from several people that they sound really great if you replace the valves and the speakers, which I intend on doing some day.

  • @shreddakj I tried a Valve King recently that was used but "new." The tubes were awful, lots of microphonics when you cranked it. I like the Peavey Sheffields alright but the Celestion V-30s simply work far better at high power. The Sheffields seem to mush out in the low end and get blurry in the high end. Ultimately the pickups do make a profound difference.

  • what effects are you using and what pedals?

  • In this video I'm running my guitar straight into my amp's clean channel and then using a Boss ME-50 in the effects loop (Protip, digital effects pedals in the effects loop of valve amps sound great), using all the effects from the pedal, Distortion, Chorus, Delay, reverb.

  • it seems that every guitarist ive seen holds the pick with their thumb and index finger but i play with my index rude finger and thumb does this inprove playing at all cause ive tried and its not comfertable for me.

  • There is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to play the guitar. I found that things like accenting, harmonics, heavy playing and sweep picking are inhibited by the technique that you use. How do I know? I used to play like that and switched to the thumb+index technique.

  • and also man just so you feel better eddie van halen doesnt old his pick like normal guitarists... go watch him and c

  • hey dude im in miss bs class an she was telling me how good u were lol and iv dicided that i wanna learn circles have u got any good advice?

  • Yeah man. The hardest parts are really the extended legato lines, so really drill those heaps, practice them slow until you get the flow of the line and then try cranking up the speed. I tried practicing the Satch divebomb harmonics the way Satch does them, but I couldn't get them every time so I took the easy option with natural harmonics.

The most powerful parts of the song are the bends, so make sure you nail those!

  • Thanks Dude!!!!!

  • yayy kj! did you get a new camera?

  • New memory stick so I could record in higher resolution for the whole song.

  • Very Very nice cover very nice tapping and very nice guitar. Can anyone answer me.. there is a locking system on the ibanez rg series (and more ibanez series im sure) and apparantly its a bitch to change strings i was thinking of buying the rg1570 tremolo but i dont want to go through the strings falling out every 2 seconds when im changing strings and if someone owns that guitar please tell me the drawbacks and the good things about it...

  • Yeah it is a bit of a pain to string up and tune, but IT'S SO MUCH FUN TO PLAY ON!!!! That's pretty much all I can say about it. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices if you want something really bad, (like sweet whammy bar effects).

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Dean guitars have great whammy bar effects as well, do they have locking systems???

  • Yeah there are plenty of dean guitars with lockings trem systems.

  • Thats just assume dude!! nice playing great solo!!
