  • A Challenger Dissapears!

  • i considered this when i complained about NASA. now NASA is going away.

  • spirit!!!!

  • souredweed, i cant believe u know that. guess we can blame nasa and all the murderers. and i cant believe the explosion didnt kill them.

  • That was a really depressing event, shocked me

  • WTF?

  • It was an O-Ring failure. The rocket booster's O-Rings burned up and fuel started to leak right into the boost which caused a quick explosion. The crew didn't die in the explosion. They died upon impact when they hit the water. The rocket boosters destroyed the Challenger. An engineer knew the disaster was going to happen. NASA was just to stubborn to listen. He sat home and watched the launch. He was happy that it didn't blow up on the launch pad, but his happiness was short lived.

  • @SouredWeed the same O ring system was used on submarine launched solid fuel rockets. O ring erosion had a predictable rate.. if you take into acount their were two rockets per launch the failure rate was a perfect match to have a failure on this launch.

  • it's all nasa fault. they wanted to lauch a rocket befor russia launched theres

  • it's sad, I feel soo sorry for Krista McCulla's students, they watched that happen :-(

  • @ReviewsandShtuff yea in hind site its stupid to send teachers to space, what a stunt.

  • is everyone dead?

  • Yes, and actually amzingley enough the crew wasn't killed in the blast they died when they hit the water but they where unconscious from falling nearly 70000 feet.

  • @Reeds8888 HAHAHAH you really think anything of such can withstand such heat? No bodies or the cabin were ever confirmed to be found, leading to the conclusion that they were all incinerated at the time of the explosion.

  • 0_0'

  • The challenger didn't explode, it was sheared apart by G forces (20Gs, it was designed to take 5Gs), the big cloud you're seeing is the result of the propellant and coolant tanks rupturing from corrosion, and the secondary rocket boosters being disabled by their safety explosives.

  • you are dumb it exploded

  • that sucks, and its eeerie watching that.

  • hmmmm, interesting
