  • The Punisher was a good game

  • You made a good video here, but sorry i could not watch it for more than a minute, the backround music is really getting on my nerves, and difficult to hear you. Why wont you remake it?

  • thx 4 the input. if i get a new pc i just may do that.

  • Although movie based video games do need a bit of help for sure, but I think movies need some SERIOUS help, for real.

At LEAST there have been some good roughly movie based video games, but I have yet to see a video game based movie REALLY kick some serious ass...

The only one I kinda enjoy is the resident evil series, but that's really only because the movies tie in with the games, and they work a bit with Capcom. That and the dawn of the dead movies and day of the dead generally suck lol

  • So sorry for the late reply dude. You make an excellent point. Hopefully that will change when the Halo and Gears of War movies are out. Time will tell my dear friend.

  • In my humble opinion, Resident Evil movies lost the main point of Resident Evil: Survival against overwhelming odds. Giving them superpowers and big guns kinda kills the point.

But my biggest disappointment was Silent Hill...

  • But U Have To Admit Apocalypse Kicked Ass Along With the First One Oh By The Way Video Black Dude U R The Fuckin Man For Sayin AVP Was The Best Cade Game Ever. Game Brings Back My Childhood

  • Vin was actually part of the development team for that game, and apparently that was quite an asset.

Have you ever played Star Wars Trilogy Arcade? That was when Sega made GOOD movie-based games. The Super Star Wars series for SNES, by LucasArts (when it was worth more than two cents), are fine, too.

I think the main problem with movie-based games in newer generations is that they're too cinematic. Developing a 2D action game for Live/PSN would be cheaper, better, and much more profitable.

  • hey, thats some serious input, thanks a lot. Yeah, i new Vin Diesel actually played a large role in its development. I think he just knows what great video games are made of. I never got the chance to play the Star Wars trilogy arcade games though. The SNES games were pretty good, and I think Shadows of the Empire for N64 was great also. Maybe The Force Unleashed will make Star Wars games good again!!! I feel the biggest problem with movie games is deve teams. Most licenses go to lame devs :(.

  • Avp is the best arcade game in the world even though its old

  • You know good games then. Have you subscribed? If not, do it. Do it now!!! O_o

  • I thought the games for the Spiderman 1+2 were pretty decent, but the spiderman 3 game was very half assed and poorly made.

I thought that the game The Thing based off of the John Carpenter movie was quite decent too.

  • Hey dude I never played The Thing. I've heard nothing but good things about that game. I should pick it up sometime!!! Thanks for your imput. Subscribe dude!!!!

  • i cant play that game, i saw the movie john carpenders the thing and to this day i cant look at the pictures of that alien, i remember the blood test scene had me crappin down my pants!

  • I always thought about Capcom doing say a DBZ using Marvel Vs Capcom's fighting engine. And like you said, a Matrix fighting game. That would seriously rock!

  • Yeah, but companys like Marvel and Warner Bros hire lame developement companies to make their games. (Shiny Entertainment pfft, and SEGA didnt do a good job of Iron Man either).

  • AVP, X-men, The Simpsons, Dungeons and Dragons are FANTASTIC beat em' ups for the arcade. You know if you have mame if you download the roms and play them on your computer. A shame those games will probably never see a re-release on the console due to licensing issues.

  • Yeah dude, what's up with licensing issues anyway? I totaly hate that crap. If those guys in their big suites and limos can come to a little freaking agreement, we could all be having a great time on consoles. Oh well, MAME it is.

  • I found Spiderman 2 and Toy Story 2 to be great movie-based games. :) Pity there's games like Superman 64 about really, because some of them have potential to be really good. :(

  • The committee agrees. Perhaps more will come in the few-cha!!!

  • spider man 2+3 had good games though. pretty fun.

  • Never played them!!! Guess I should try them sometime. Thanks for your imput, subscribe!!!!

  • HELLO gamespot-er

I got ur message, am I are watching now.

  • Last Action hero was the worst movie based game ever.

  • Aliens vs Predator= instant motherfucking win

and HELL NO, its all about Kurosawa lol! Still, I love the game and play it every now and then, MAME FTW!

Also, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King back in 03, I loved the game, making you fight hordes of enemies and it really did get fun, both King and the Two Towers are amazing, I think they did have co-op, I forgot, still, great for movie games

  • AVP needs to be re-released on the new consoles. Online play would rock hard. Thanks for your imput Zero.

  • I would love to play it on XBL, thing is, we might get the two player version, which is something I'm worried about, another game worth considering in its case, although not a movie game, X-Men, six-player co-op FTW

  • Yeah, right behind AVP was X-Men as my 2nd fav arcade game!!! 6 player co-op would rock!

  • YO!!!! wat up astral its me SNEAKY

  • sup dude!! Thanks for checking out my vid. Check out the rest and leave some comments!

  • Whoo.. My sincerest condolences to you for your Superman 64 experiences. That Batman screen shot looks quite nice! I should research that one a bit more. AvP for life! Speaking of such, have you heard of an arcade beat'em up by the name of Zero Team? I have fond memories with that one.

  • Dude I've never heard of that Zero Team game before! I went to go look it up, but there is only one screenshot on google, and no youtube videos. Sounds interesting thought. Who knows what other gems are out there that we havent played!!!

  • Yeah, Zero Team was excellent. I've actually been going back lately to find and play some of the titles I missed the first go-round. I'm a HUGE fan of the many Saturn titles that werent released here in the states. That system was a 2D powerhouse!! Hell, I oughta make a video about that!

  • Yeah, I still have like two Dreamcasts!!! I miss it in its prime :(

  • i played the alien vs predator.......great game!

  • Great Video man!!!!

  • w00t!
