In saying that i still believe its a combination of what is expected (which is to be hypnotised) and the confusion created by the sudden command and the gesture (the arm pull). I still remain skeptical towards this being a pre hypnotic induction, i would like some evidence of the subject being brought into full trance state from this induction. I would also like to say that i am in no way challenging you, i am simply intrigued by this method.
I understand what you're looking for. This was just a demonstration of the induction. I did not work further with him during this part of the class. If you want to see what can be done with a subject after an instant induction, check out some of my other videos.
In some languages, the "SLEEP!!" command is not made by just one syllable, but 3 syllables or even more, so it takes a longer some to say it and it's not a "shock" command anymore. For instance, in French it's "DORMEZ-VOUS!!".
i believe this isnt induction is more an example of social complience, in which i mean the subject feels compelled to do as is told just not in a state of no self control. For the people who cannot hypnotise their friends it simple, it doesnt work because they dont expect it. People are more subseptable to a hypnotist because that is what they expect a hypnotist to do, Which is to hypnotise you. Your friend doesnt expect you to hypnotise them and therefore it simply wont work. Anyone disagree?
Well said. In fact it is BOTH social compliance and the natural trance state that almost any human being can achieve. It CAN however be achieved without the social compliance and without warning.
Wrong, and right. I do not push my fingers into his neck. My hand is behind his neck to support his head. I DO push his arm back a bit before I pull it though.
The most important thing is to ask if the person has any neck or arm problems. Do not pull hard! The movement should be sudden and unexpected, but not hard. Then it is safe.
Does this definately work, 100% of the time beacause you look like a bit of an idiot if you shout "sllep" and the person being hypnotised is just standing there normally?
heyhey s is cool umm i dnt wanna practice this because i dont understand how to get them out of it any tips ???????? btw this is cool love your work =]
Thanks Don, I read up on your newsletter and it was pretty enlightening :) . I do think it would be useful however if you could post a video showing you walking up to a complete strnger and giving them the pre-talk and then the induction. Ofcourse they are going to have to agee to be hypnotized in the first place.
Good one, it really does "show what was happening" when you put it in slow motion. You can see in slow-mo that the neck is not jerked in any way but is use to steady the neck from jerking itself when the arm is pulled forward. Thats what I have learned from this video. All I need now is the sort of 'pre-talk' that I could use for people who a)havent been hypnotized before with any thechnique. and B) know anything about hypnosis. any chance you could shed light on this Don?
Great question, Jamie! I will answer it in the next edition of the newsletter. For anyone else who would like to subscribe, send me a message with your email.
could you please put a tutorial on the internet? I'Ve always wanted to know how to do that kind of hypnosis!

what's important about doing this?
how strongly I pull his arm?
how loudly I shout "sleep"?
It really didn't work for me. I can't hypnotize my frined. Could you please tell me some tips for doing this?
And above all, is it safe?
Kevin031 3 years ago
Always ask if the person has any neck, shoulder or arm problems BEFORE doing this induction.
glenelg1 3 years ago
could someone get hurt from this? like could they hurt their neck or shoulder?

Confidence goes a long way with inductions. If you arent confident, it will affect you greatly.

can this be used as a first induction or not?

Yes. People go very deep with this induction!

do you press any specific point on the neck?
wine497 4 years ago
No. Many people ask this question. My hand on the neck simply supports the neck so that it does not snap back.

i induct people people by stabbing them :D
