  • I loved "Trottie True" as a child and I am so glad to find this clip here. Jean Kent was a beauty. Wish someone would upload the complete film. Aside from Marie Lloyd I also think her character included a little Vester Tilly. Thanks for this.

  • A very sweet version of the song but I prefer the Marie Lloyd version. The song is actually about the prostitutes who worked on the promenade by the music hall. Lloyd's version was WAY smuttier but I still like this more innocent version.

  • marie lloyd was much better! her voice was brilliant and there was a spark to her performance!

  • Nil desparandome .

Some will turn up in someones attic .

  • Too modern for my taste .

  • I suppose you would prefer the 1930's, but films of the Old Time Music Halls of that time are rare.

  • and certainly not in colour!

  • this is a wonderful clip and Marie Lloyd would be proud .i think this film came out after the war . would like to see the film . jean kent is lovely

  • 1949, I believe.

  • also I think the song is called 'When I Take My Morning Promenade'.

  • love it! have to see this film!
