Dudes, I am 43 years old and ride all the time. I have a show room quality 1999 KX 250 L-1 that looks and runs like it is off the show room floor from 1999. It is still all original except for an FMF pipe which sounds great! My bike runs totally like a stock bike from 1999 and I got so lucky to get it from a guy off E-Bay that decided dirt bikes wasn't his thing. I can keep up with or smoke almost any bike that is out these days. It is a fantastic motorcycle and is a rocket! One of a kind!

no offense but sounds like its got a bad rod bearing or crank case bearings, mine sounded like that when my bottom end was loose ,fully rebuilt the bottom end including tranny bearings and the sound went away if its a fresh top end then it will be good but will wear rings out quick and eventually it will give out trust me,i rebuild motors including these 2 strokes id check ur tolerence in play on ur bottom end if i where you be4 it goes, i told someone the same thing and 2 weeks later it blew up

3ft 7inches. It really doesn't matter to much, i'd recomend being about 5ft 7in minum to be at all comfortable starting off from a stand still, but if your a good enough rider it really doesn't matter especially once you start going.  Need be you could always get a dog bone for the rear linkage and drop the rear down a few inches.
