I will personally boycot Beijin Olympic. I won't watch any TV, won't read any news articles about it, and will refrain from using any products/services of company who support the event. In China, there are lots of children who were bought and/or kid-napped and treated like slaves, forced into labors. How could I have fun watching opening celemony, give cheers athletes, get moved by performances, etc, while knowing this?

"Green convention center"... China is so very very far from being "Green" - especially as a country looking to use coal as a primary source of energy to drive its industrial revolution. Expect to see China become a lot more polluted and dirty than it already is.
Might add that most of the buildings being built over there are designed by international architects (i.e. Europe, US, Japan), not Chinese.

You can say that for just about every country. Germany had the olympics with Hitler in power and it still hosted the olympics.
