You Sir are full of win... love the basement office too.
Couple of things. iftop or iptraf instead of reading proc net... Issue magic packets via a multi-threaded script which should be more instantaneous than issuing -f.
Now how do you deliver the image over the network ? 500MB/min approx 60MB/s == 60 x 33 x 8 = 16gbps

Very cool indeed. Got a few questions to ask you, if you don't mind answering :)
1. which linux distro did you use for CZ server?
2. what is the name of application used to measure throughput or network activity? (the one with graph and and the one with 'xxx-ng' that showed interface activity).
I remember this, I was the admin for one of these and we would do 12 computers at one using PXE...the fun times. I do wonder though, are you using Gigabit or 100 Mb/s? We were limited to 100 Mb/s per the speed of our switch :(

I have read a lot of things from websites and seen screen shots as well. But Sorry Sir, I am unable to understand the configuration of Clonezilla server.
how to configure on server machine, which operating system should be there?
how to install clonezilla server on server machine?

Hi, where I can find a very ggo tutorial for the clonezillaserver? I've found lots of them but noone explains detailed how to do it, they just replys what they have done to acomplish their own clonning process.
Does this CloneZilla use broadcast packets or bittorrent-like technology to reduce the load on the server with the images? Because, each machine was pulling ~600mb/minute (10mb/sec), while the output of the server seemed to only be, at best, 24mbytes/second?
I guess I've sort of answered my own question, eh?
@poppinoncrackvideos haha, agreed. before hand, i was like, how hard would it be to install windows xp one-by-one on every single computer in our school. that'd be fucked. now i see! ;)
i can do that, its easy =P

Connection between server and switch was 1000Mb/s but notebooks were connected to 100Mb/s ports only

@SUKItm not broadcast, but multicast is indeed supported.
YellingSilently 1 year ago
@SUKItm The Server was multicasting the image. Meaning that the data from the server was being replicated and given to each machine at the same time.
