this is my new project...though I think this may have sounded better slower so the audience could really appreciate your talent and Joplin's sincopation (spelling fail I know).

to 19peace69: Scott Joplin stressed time and time again that rags are never meant to be played fast. I have copies of the orinigal scores in a book and the composers note is always that. the sincopation makes rags sound fast but played fast they blur together too much

I've been listening to Scott Joplin recordings for three decades, and I want you to know you did great! The speed was just right, in my opinion. Maple Leaf Rag is one of the few SJ rags that sounds wonderful at a furious pace, as long as the player stays in control and never tries to rush. But don't be afraid to put your soul in it, enjoy it, and WORK IT!
