These ads didn't really help mac's reputation. I love my mac, but damn do these ads make apple look kind of bad, but some of them do have some truth in them about windows I suppose :/
the reason mac is better is because you can't get it on shitty quality hardware, so the performance sounds better, compared on identical systems both systems are just as stable and just as good except windows has a larger array of compatible software. of course if you do have a slower computer and don't run any specialised software then get ubuntu

I understand now. The only big difference between win and mac is gamig. OH, WHO CARES. I can install a win on my mac for stupid LATEST computer games with bootcamp, and use osx for the 99% remaining things to do with a computer. You can do the same under a pc? NO.

@ractopiu You ever hear of a program called Virtual box? It's a program that i can use to allow me to use any operating system i want to use on PC, Mac, or Linux

@neverfearchrisishere, I had Vista too, and it did crash. 7 however fixed all my trouble and i am happy that i build my PC for like 300 bucks, instead of 999 for the smallest Mac Laptop avaiable.
PCs are cheaper, faster, has a better operating system, glitches less than windows vista, allows you to play games, allows you to pin icons to the taskbar, has a better default browser, and comes with downloadable widgets. BEAT THAT MAC USERS!!!!
ubuntu has no known viruses, it is a free operating system, will boot in 30 seconds, can revive older slower pcs (no need to spend loads on new hardware) and once you get used to the fact it is ubuntu and NOT windows or mac. then it is easy and better.
@seanhamson Yeah i agree i have a spare pc the runs ubuntu and i love it. Although i do not find it to be supported enough to use as a main computer yet but I'm sure the time is coming where ubuntu may be as commonly used and known to people other than "geeks" as windows and mac.

I got a high end PC with Vista.
Everything runs smoothly. Doesn't crash, doesn't get viruses, stays on for weeks at a time, only with the odd reboot for software updates.
I normally have documents, pdf;s etc.. open in the background while I watch a movie AND play the latest computer game.
Damn I'm annoyed I didn't spend twice as much on a Mac

@jtimester apples imacs now come defult with quad core proccessors (i think that is fast)
Mac OS is simple to use and currently has no known viruses
You can drag programs and webpages to the dock or desktop
internet explorer is the best browser for downloading other browsers
windows copied the idea in vista for gadgets from the widgets in tiger
as for cheaper...Well you get what you pay for
