Being an Islander fan, I have to admit that the hit was NOT dirty. That being said, from the Islanders standpoint, it LOOKED dirty.....It's not like they had the opportunity to look at 5 replays like Sam &JD did right after the hit. Guarantee you one thing....in 94 when the Rangers swept the Isles, if they took out Messier the same way(clean hit but LOOKED dirty), the Rangers would've done the SAME THING. And the ambulance thing DID happen..still have the news from espn from that night.
