Love this song, reminds me of all things good in life that you don't need to spend a fortune to acquire...I do love old dogs too, have two old dogs rescued from high kill shelters dumped there to die. Great song writer.

Glad to see him still performing! Back in 1978, we went to his show in Columbus Ga, and he actually opened the bus door, and gave me and autograph and patted me on the head. I was 4 years old, and have never forgotten that!
