  • Mike Rumph (#8) has now become a teacher and youth football coach after playing for the San Fran 49'ers and he is my substitute teacher for Science.

  • i literally cannot get enough of sean taylor. i love the way he played and the person he was

  • Man Mo Sike never got the credit he deserved, he was one of my favorites!

  • this video gives me the chills everytime i watch it!!

  • i dont know how the U didnt get caught up in some scandal.. this team would destroy Ohio State

  • 3:00 is one of my favorite Sean Taylor moments.

  • offense wins games.........................defense wins championships, i hope to see golden turn our shit fest around and put us on top again, go canes

  • For some schools, this would be damn near their entire history's worth of defensive highlights.....But this is predominately just the 2G stuff for the U. No need to even show 83-94. Good times.

  • love it

  • Who was #26 and #36?

  • @xVENOMisEDGEx 26-sean taylor, 36 mo sikes

  • Yeah the Miami defense really stepped up against Notre Dame! Oh, wait, you got shat one haha

  • fucking wilfork best nose tackle in the nfl the only reason the 2004 draft class was any good was cuz of all the beasts that came out of the U

  • this vid is fuckin sick... miami is my home city and they beast as shit

  • come to texas, randy!!!

  • @hovde4 Hey man, that is a nice video and great music choice!

European football league ended and therefore the Amsterdam Admirals are no more, that really sucks. Football is an exciting and demanding sport with fast tactics, it deserves attention at least as much as soccer gets. I've just bought a football last summer but, not ready for an 75 yard pass just yet.

That number 26 player really made an incredible run, he has incredible moves.

  • Damn sean talyor RIP but did you really have to try to kill everybody on the opposing team who touched the ball?

  • whats the second song name?

  • @dagasuper1711 bad to the bone

  • i would poop my pants if i had to play as reciever against this defense

  • ed reed=shawn taylor=illegal

  • @MrHEnicE so you make up shit, i use stats to disprove your ignorant statement. and you runaway covering your ears screaming that you are right and that you don't want to hear why you are wrong. fuck you. you are not a cane fan. go away and continue rooting for the gaytors. you are not a hurricane fan.

  • @MrHEnicE honest? you called the defense soft! our defense ranks 8th in the nation in total defense, 1st in tackles for losses, 2nd in sacks. We have only allowed 3 TDs, two of those drives started in the redzone. how the fuck is that defense soft. its not, your just a fucking bitch looking for a reason to bitch. get lost, don't come back. the real hurricane fans don't want bitches like you repping the u when we are back. fuck you gaytor. we don't want you.

  • @ hoe#4 or whatever your gay ass name is 1. your youtube "thuggin" is irrelevant 2. i can comment on any video i want to YOU cant do shit about it 3. im a REAL fan cause im being HONEST you dont need to get all butthurt guy

  • that team was stacked as shit crazy defence fucking andre johnson got damn!

  • old school miami....our defense soft as shit now

  • @hovde4

Its THE U AND NOTHING ELSE EXCEPT THE U!!! WHEN EVERYONE TALKS ABOUT THE U ITS NOT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA OR FLORIDA STATE, ITS THE UNIVERSITY OF FUCKING MIAMI!!!!!

  • 6:14 awesome...

  • yeah dude haha, dan morgan i believe was the first sophmore team captain ever for miami, one of maybe only 30 ppl that hav started as true freshman there, and either him or ray hav the record for solo tackles there

  • They had a bunch of running backs that loved to hit on defense... lol they was some good runners.

  • Great video

    wat are the songs names?

  • Smoke more crack slipknot

  • RIP #26 Hurricane legend forever...

  • great video, what an amazing defense

  • 1:50 beast!

  • umm....Dan morgan played for Penn st.Hes a backup for the panthers now.correct ur info

  • @slipknot3221992 Dan Morgan played for UM. he retired from the NFL from too many concusions. Morgan did NOT play for Penn St. Correct your info.

  • @hovde4 UMMM no. Slipknot was right, Dan Morgan was a stud MLB at Miami in t he early 2000's and was drafted by the Panthers. Playing successfully for about 6 years before retiring from concussion related problems. Correct your info.

  • @hovde4 No, Dan Morgan was all UM all the way. One of the baddest white boys out there. Not all good white MLB's went to Penn State, fool.

  • @slipknot3221992 NO Dan Morgan played for Miami bro, your info is incorrect.

  • @slipknot3221992 smoke more crack, seriously. He went to the U

  • DAN MORGAN DID NOT GO TO NO DAMN PENN ST

  • @slipknot3221992 wat the fuck are u talkin about dan morgan played LB at miami he was number 44 come on now

  • @slipknot3221992 morgan played at the U research b4 u post on here and played wit the panthers and did retire do to concussions

  • @slipknot3221992 he played for um u jackface

  • @slipknot3221992 ur thinkn of dan connor numb nutz. both wore #55

  • Well i know what college im try to go to LOL

  • 6:13- 6:29 was nasty!

  • the Play at 2:17 defines U.M's Defense

  • Our defense is the best and will always be the best defense baybe

  • who is number 23

  • @TheDominicanboi James Lewis

  • @TheDominicanboi

James Lewis, he returned the pick 6 off Eric Crouch in the championship game

  • 2001 defense was the best defense in anyother team, and can't be organized again

  • javonte daniel #20

  • i love ND till i die but i cant deny no other college preps their plays better for the NFL than tha U, especially on defense, look i mean ray lewis, jon beason, sean taylor, ed reed just to name a VERY FEW even on offense theirs clinton portis, andre johnson, this school is simply dynamic at producing nfl stars

  • 2:36-2:49 wuz my favorite lol my mouth wuz open

  • I always love watching Sike's return at 0:37. Notice Sean Taylor come speeding down the field and almost chase Sikes down only to turn around and then try to destroy someone. He was the man. R.I.P.

Great video overall. Miami can return to greatness but to consistently bring in the level of talent they were doing in the early 2000s is going to be very difficult. How many teams have SPECIAL talents like Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Vince Wilfork and Jon Vilma on the same team?

  • Exactly, that's what I noticed too, Sean Taylor was so big, yet so fast, I think that he was faster than Sikes...lol. And yeah, I loved Miami's 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003 teams, especially the defense, they were something else!

  • @carloctave

    Sean was definitely faster Sikes.

  • an other song pls...

    Miami Hurricanes 4-life

  • IT's all ABOUT THE U!!!!!! Best NFL factory ever.

  • lol sean taylor was so good meast all the way

  • it's all about the U!!! enough said

  • @MrLh7ncurt 28-23 the last 4 seasons is "all about mediocrity", lol.

  • omg at 3:27! is that vince wilfork?

  • RIP Sean Taylor

  • that group of guys from 2000-2004 were the best group of ball players we've seen in our generation. the draft numbers dont lie. it'll be along time before we'll see a group like that again.

  • The U has to get back on top of their recruiting to bring back athletes of this caliber and regain their rightful place on top of the heap

  • they need to recuit in the state of miami more often, tht'll bring th dynasty bak to life!

  • so much speed...hell, even the defensive linemen could move. athletes galore.

  • @footballjava32 thts wat happens when u get florida boys grownin up in th 561, chasin rabbits in tht muck. th U needs its swag lik this bak []_ _[]

  • Great reel. It's good to see some reed highlights surface, you don't see too many from his U days, with the exception of the BC clips. Early in the vid, the numbers are blurred but you know off the bat it's him just by the technique in which he jumps the route, and is off 100mph upfield before the offense knew what hit them. These were great teams, with unbelievable talents, I loved these days, watching these guys, vilma, taylor, sikes .. all of them. great vid.

  • whos number 36

  • @bachiboy18 mo sikes

  • Maurice Sikes

  • did Sikes ever go pro?

  • @bachiboy18

    good ol maurice sikes

  • damn,there hardcore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the point of offense is to score righttt? not just give the ball away?

    the UUUUUUUUU!

  • you gotta be kiddn me superbadfan1! No disrespect but you can't possibly not know #26 is !!!!!!

  • first i would like to say sean taylor was nasty! second anyone else wanna see this D go up against the gators offense from last year?!

  • number #26 is Sean Taylor (R.I.P.)

  • Mo sikes was the man don't know why he didnt go to the nfl

  • you see how we get those turnovers and no offensive player on the other team can catch them? plus they are all about the same speed so they can block way better

  • "THUG U' has stuck and never left us since the 1980's. Coach Schnellenberger didn't give a fuck and scoured some of the toughest ghettos in south Florida for pure speed and athleticism.

A 15 year period there where the program was riddled with arrests, drug use, and murder combined with that on-field 'swagger' branded us forever.

We've only had 1 single arrest since Coach Shannon took over.

Miami fans consider THUG U to be a badge of honor. True Miami fans hope it never leaves.

    []_[]

  • Yep. I told my boss a few years ago that my favorite team is Miami. His reply was, Wow! You like the THUGS."

I just smiled and laughed, "That's right. My favorite team is the "U"

It is a badge of honor for Miami and it is the biggest game on every team's schedule every year when Miami comes to town.

    CANES RULE!

  • Thats Right Preach! They dont know!

  • 5:20 ---dan morgan i believe

  • 1:35 seconds into this video the miami defense comes out of nowhere ha ha...made the other team just look horrible..then again the D was stacked with nfl pro bowlers!!

  • Run at Big Vince and he Wilfork out some pain. Holy shit he was bad-ass. Today it's like watching him all over again through Allen Bailey without the gut. GO CANES-- NC in 2010 See ya'll at the Gator Bowl this year in Jax-- Good Luck.

  • Did this have dan morgan in it?

  • I am an FSU fan, but geeze that Miami defense was absolutely stacked with all kinds of talent.

  • ed reeed is tooo fucking gooood

  • 2:18

  • 2:22

  • When Vilma made that tackle against that QB he formed up sooo perfect OMG that tackle should be included in how to tackle videos lol

  • that was the running back

  • I am not a Miami fan but you can't help but respect how great some of their teams were. Who laid the hurt down at :28? that was awesome.

  • Sean Taylor

  • Thanks. RIP Sean

  • this almost made me cry tears of joy :)

    DA U is back!!!!

  • da U, might not be be ranked every year, but one of the best fucking colleges ever, their defense will always be the shit their offense is very good this year also. i live in illinois but fuck i love miami.

  • Vilma always brought the wood. Damn he rocked Randall.

  • fucking best seasons ever. miss all those games.

  • If by thugs you mean people who made something more of their life than you did than i guess if you want call them thugs. Its all about DA U.

  • andddd you know what im doing right now right?....thats what i thought stop being an idiot. They have "made more out of their life" because they were given superior athletic skill. If it werent for that they'd be doing some low income job because like i said, they are thugs.

  • Your right that was an idiot comment by me since i really dont know what you are doing for all i know you could be curing diabetes. But i do stand on my oponion of you calling them thugs. They got that from on field antics. Miami has been a very clean program unlike florida but nobody cares because for whatever reason people will hate Miami. A bunch of those thugs have helped out schools with money in buying them new equipment and helping the community. I think those "thugs" are serving good

  • and to add on to what rankinreddevils said, if the fact that they were ACTUALLY in college gives them the title "THUG", then Payton Manning is a thug too. Great theory, right?

  • peyton manning went to Tennessee

  • ok better example: TheRock

  • if my mom had wheels she would be a bicycle. stop with your hatin and your what ifs. miami had a 85% grad rate on this team so stop your whining.

  • haha these idiots all they do is refer to Miami as thugs when we have one of the highest graduation rate of any football team in the country.

  • ha ha ha why dont you just say the "n" word you coward.

  • #51 is Jonathan Vilma

  • who is #51

  • I love watching someone get a pick and then watch the whole defense run down the side line with them. I hope the Canes get back to that this season.

  • sean taylor...damn...he was too good...if he was still here (r.i.p.) him and laron landry would b the ultimate safety combination in the league

  • The Good Old Days

Man I miss Sean Taylor (R.I.P). MEAST !!

  • bad ass vid and badd ass song

  • sean taylor used to own the secondary at the U. i never worried about the long ball cuz he was always back there. fsu also had derrick brooks, warrick dunn, & a few others. the gay-tors just had emmit & maybe wilbur marshall & rex grossman lol

  • Notice that number 16 (chris rix) gets picked a lot in this video and got his ass smacked. he sucks LOL

  • On alot of these plays, whenever Sean Taylor doesn't get a pic, he runs from way up field, blocks, and is there with his teammates in the end zone, he was so fast for someone that was 6'2'' 231 pounds!

  • I agree. Look at him(#26) from 0:41-0:49. Beast...

  • That early 2000s Cane defense could not be touched

Too much speed and size. They played like offensive players looking to score themselves on every down

  • im a Hokie fan but this is a nice video!...most of those guys are my favorite players in the NFL

maybe 1 day there D will get back to these days

  • ray lewis or warren sapp ???

  • ray lewis by a long shot

  • different positions both were key ray ray at linebacker and on the line u had sapp coming at you..

  • antrelle rolle is better than merriweather

  • Those CANES teams were stacked!

The current team is stacked as well with stars from the past few years and New Guys that are already Miami Ballin' Boys!

  • hell ya miami will be back

  • them boys use to make everybody look like cupcake teams

  • number 8 all the way =)

  • imagine if they all played for the same team in the nfl.

    yawn.high hopes lol

  • 3:19 nice block by taylor to lead antrel to the ezone

  • GREAT VIDEO

  • Who is #36? the safety.

  • Mo Sikes.

  • What team drafted him? I don't remember hearing anything about him in the NFL unless he didn't make it.

  • Vilma? He's with the Saints.

  • No, Mo Sikes.

  • He may have been drafted and not started for anyone. Such is the case with Ken Dorsey..lol.

  • DORSEY wants to be a coach, he knows his limits, he is still getting paid to be a back up in the nfl. his dream is to be a head coach hes said it... but the u still has more legends and great players in the nfl.. fsu not too many and the gaytors !! lol ALL ARE BUSTS! for exception of emmitt

  • FSU has more than a few. Gators spawned two of the meanest running backs ever in the NFL. Emmitt Smith and Fred Taylor..as far as anything else..

  • yea taylor was alright. good servicable but not nearly what The U and FSU has put in the nfl not nearly as great the talent .. but yea ill give ya taylor

  • thats all florida has miami has one of the best recievers to ever play they have the best safety to ever play the best middle linebacker, one of the best quarterbacks running backs they got it all, florida state got deion thats about all i know

  • u said it right

  • what kind of defense do they run

  • KILL THE MAN WITH THE BALL DEFENSE !

  • #36 was the number Sean Taylor wore before he changed it to 26!Heres what we have,Jacory Harris,Spence,Forston,Brown,Brando Harris,Van Dyke,Grant,Cooper,James,Collier,Benjamin,Johnson,Byrd,McCarthy,Bailey,Telemaque,Ojomo,Robinson,Epps,Chambers,Armstrong, and the dominant O line.Put it together and tell me if u think the U isn't back?!?Ive been talking about Jacory and Spence b4 they were known, they will bring us back.Miami North Western all day!!!The U

  • sean wore 26 every year at miami.

then his rookie year with the skins he wore 36.

after that he switched to 21.

  • Amazing the U is where top recruits should go to and early 2000's were the best with reed taylor meriweather phillips it was loaded

  • The U in its prime those were some good times but watch out the U is on the rise

  • Comment removed

  • mo sikes

  • sean taylor was a beast, not just when he was making the play but all the time he was in hit mode. If you look at the int. that sikes did, taylor ran all the way down the field to provide blocking and even though sikes was going to score for sure taylor was looking for the next guy to hit. He truly was a great player because no matter where he was he gave 100% effort

  • 1:52 damn.

  • wats the song

  • Man, this Defense is impressive, it's all about the U !

  • Comment removed

  • Yo!!! The play at 3:23 one of the best hit's I've ever seen... 2004 Orange Bowl, FSU vs. Miami (Canes won 16-14) Wilfork destroys Leon Washington. I remember that hit like it was yesterday. Slowing it down doesn't do it justice unless u actually show it at normal speed with audio, it was sooooo loud... and I watched it on T.V imagine it in the stadium.

  • what happened to THE U?

  • The U is coming back..we have a young which needs some time to develop

  • 4 sure they got lots of talented players who just need couple more years and THE U will be back!

  • Sean Spence already won rookie ACC defensive player of the year, he still has size to work on.

Jon Vilma was my hero. My size, my weight, my build; and hit like a goddamn freight train.

  • Good vid but I'm so damn sick of ACDC music in football highlights.

  • was that the rock.

  • no, 94 in the video is william joseph. i don't have any highlights with the rock. wish i did though.

  • does anybody have the um vs fsu game from 2005 when sean taylor had two int and 1 td roscoe parrish got blasted down the middle of the field. please write me back...

  • it was actually in 2003. i was there it was one of the funnest games i have ever been to. i was the lone UM fan and the only way i could get tickets was fsu student section through a friend of mine. i was the only cane anywhere i could see. i was screaming the whole game. it was just me, my sister, and brother in law. a blast. ive been looking all over for a copy of this game. if you find it anywhere PLEASE let me know. i would love to make a highlight of Sean Taylor from that game.

  • loved the video but the music selection sucked

  • this was the best team ever in college football history real talk EVERYONE on that team was pro bowl material

  • NFL, RIP Sean Taylor, You were a great person and a great football player!!! And i agree with you man this was the greatest defense to have ever been fielded in college football. Im not a 'canes fan but i am a Ravens fan and im so glad Reed got to play around these types of players to get ready for the NFL...
