Actually I think this one is tougher. Not technically, but keeping that rhythm especially to a backing track is hard, at least for me. I was talking to Russ Parrish (used to be the atomic punks guitarist) and he said the same. he said "that's their hardest song". He seemed glad to not have to play it anymore. :)

well i can see how for many people it is the hardest ya but i guess i'm just so used to playing as fast as i can thats what doesn't make it so hard for me and i love that song more than any other vh song so i play it all the time. you should cut the ball end of the headstock off then it will look like the classic kramer headstock that they put on most of the pacers. just a thought

on ed's purple striped pacer he had what is now called the "lawsuite" headstock, basically kramer made a strat headstock and fender sued so they did exactly that, cut the ball bit off and made the headstock pointy and used that from then on

hey ed, i posted about a 45-minute, eleven vh-songs effort with my brother. some of the tunes were incomplete and/or missing riffs, as i'm still working on them. we worked on some of the riffing on 'hang 'em high' in part 3. have you worked on it any? haven't seen many people playing it. my 'i'm the one' still isn't where yours is, but is improving. cheers!

yeah, took me forever to get that all the 4th string notes and little c-chord of the main riff are upstrokes. i can play it now, but not at 240 bpm..i start to break down around 210. wish i had own cam..i'd like to maybe record it at half-speed for intermediate players. advanced 'ednerds' wouldn't learn anything from me. ;-) have u checked out dougfcknsteele's 7-part lesson? it's excellent.

I use my sony movie maker software and a cakewalk plugin I think its called time pitch stretch. it will slow it down but keep the same pitch. it's really cool to practice with. Ice Cream man solo is the first one I use it on.
