So, if anything, he DOES listen to the fans and gives them what they want. Everyone loves Clone Wars once you get past the CGI, they love the Force Unleashed (despite the sequel's short gameplay time) story. Most hate him irrationally, but he doesn't.

In hindsight of the terribleness of the prequels. Lucas should have passed on the franchise to someone else, after A New Hope, who actually likes Starwars and movies. Empire was the only SW movie not directed by Lucas the Hutt and its arguably the best in the series. Hes nothing but a bean counter and this interview has shown perfectly his lack of enthusiasm.
