To all the people who have problem with translation of the music .The real love of the people that the music was made for Abeokuta or Egba is Agidigbo music. Most of the music is praise singing but substantial part deal with how one should interact with others ....with patience.

these songs (with the instrumentals) reminds me so much of my very early days when i was only eight, visiting my great grand mother back home in the village. All the old people used to play this particular track on their vinyl. It's psycology is that of spiritualism and a sense of belonging...Great Ijebu peopl!!!
Haba you would never find nationalism among Egba people. We like living with others and concede a lot to others. Our guess is that we are best with others. In Abeokuta there are thousands of people from other places and i am unaware of anyone feeling they are not part of the town.
For God's sake, share the meaning in translation. I am beginning to think that my brother and sister Yorubas are rather not so kind to the rest of their brothers. Let us share the meaning Please. That is brotherhood and sisterhood. Great Music. Brings tears to the eyes of a man who does not speak yoruba.
There is nothing in one language that cant be translated into another. If you cant, then it's only because you lack the depth in vocabulary required in the other language.
@lionzion22, I am sorry, I'm going to have to slightly disagree with you. You might be able to translate one language to the other even if you adequately understand and effecient capablility to do so. The problem that often occurs is interpretation and execution are sometimes defer from the original. For exampe, the Bible is still being edited in the languages it was translated to, to suit the original hebrew meaning.
The reasons why the Bible is still being translated are because of political reasons, not language. The original Hebrew meanings can readily be translated to english an dany other language, all political motivations aside. Same with translating words for this song.
@lionzion22, I am not actually talking about transaltion, that is the easy bit of it. I am talking about happens when there's deviation and variation in interpretation and execution of the translation.
@yormeey .Could we make an inference that Juju music and Sakara genres are parallels while Were/Ajisari/fuji and apala now emerged in between?........like a musical spectrum.

Yoruba syntax and meaning usually get lost in English translation. Just enjoy the beat and leave the rest to imagination.

It's either political or lack of vocabulary.
