She thinks she'll be taking time away from the kids if she cleans~honestly, if you start with a clean slate, it doesn't take long to clean along as you go about your day! It doesn't have to take hours on end. And it's a great idea if you get the kids to help. They think it's fun when they are little to wipe up and do dishes, sweep, etc.

binxis2cute about the girl being wobbly on her feet. I have 2 kids one of which started to walk at 18 months and the other who walked at 20 months. My father in law walked at 2 and a half. It has nothing to do with the mess, it comes down to the individual and I'm told genetics, not everyone can be running at 12 months!

It's true that once it gets away from you, it's hard to recover. Our house is a disaster. It takes 4 people to get it dirty and I'm the only one left to deal with it. When I clean...TRY to clean, my 3 yr old is following me around undoing most of what I've done..

i'm worthless when it comes to cleaning, but i hire a cleaning lady twice a month and i have a dishwasher so it never gets embarassable. Might have a few things here and there but nothing that isn't tidied up in 5 minutes. Also you might wanna crack the whip on the other 3 who clot up the house.
